Congratulations Alex2017!

Your noa1 date is February 27th or your received date? just wondering because my received date is February 27th and I'm just so hoping to get an approval soon.

Good luck to everyone else on their approval too. We'll get it soon!

Hallo MonaJ, thank you!

Feb 27th is the received date.I don't know, I don't understand how they chose the cases. We haven't get any hard copy or email yet, just the change of status at the USCIS page and App. I hope that they pick yours next week. Maybe they are already working on it.

I keep my fingers crossed, for everyone!

I have a favor to ask. Is there a woman or women on this forum that is the Fiancé of a United States Citizen? I am not sure how to word that question any better.

My Fiancé is really struggling sitting at home starring at the walls. Here county has an employment contract for basically every job, so she can not find work. Because of the problems with USCIS, she is losing faith in our way of governing. The distance and time is growing daily. I imagine once NOA2 is complete, it will be easier.

Here is my favor. What advice would you give to the other women that are in this position with you?

I am the beneficiary but I work full time. If I didn't, I would focus on planning my future life in the States and getting ready for it.

First of all, the language. How good is her English? If she is not proficient enough, there are plenty of resourses online that she can use for free. If you are interested, I can help you with that and share some links or pdf books, I am a teacher of English to speakers of other languages (I am not trying to find potential clients here, just willing to help a fellow VJer:)).

Is she planning to work in the States? If she is, she could check what the requirements for her field are. She might need to have her qualifications verified, or take some course and get a new certificate or license in the US. Now would be a good time to do some research and find out what exactly is required, how much it costs, when it can be done, etc.

If she is not going to work, she could plan her everyday life. Women have so many things to think about - from where to get your nails done to how to buy the tastiest tomatoes (or any other food you both like):).I don't know how big your city is, but there must be at least some information about it online.

Hmm, it looks like I mostly recommend surfing the net for various reasons, so it would be a good idea to combine it with some exercise, or at least long walks.

Hope this helps, and wish you a speedy NOA2:)

California Service center. Hope this helps..

Oh, we're at the same center! Don't know why we haven't received our NOA yet. I feel so worried and my fiancé is out of the country at the moment for his deployment. 😞😞😞

But I'm happy for you both! God bless!

Yes. I have seen others who encountered this. The USCIS bunch are not the sharpest tools in the shed, it seems, so it does not surprise me.

It's just very annoying and disheartening when we sat and done all of this together. Now I'm back in the UK I'm going have to send all of the things they need to my fiance again. We did it together to make life easier when i was last there. It definitely seems they lost some of our things. 😑

Good evening everyone:

I just registered for an account today and am also a fellow February filer. I filed on Feb 21 with a noa1 date of 2/24. Ironically I called USCIS this morning after video chatting with my fiancée who is from the Phillipines but is currently working in Taiwan. Long story short agent told me that an RFE was mailed out today 6/2. We met through a dating site in April and went to go see her for her bday in November and ultimately proposed. I submitted all documents they requested such as passport stamps and flight itinerary to show visit. I'm thinking this RFE will come down as they will require maybe information regarding circumstances of meeting but I don't know what else to provide. I will just have to wait and see. I will post update once I receive RFE on the mail. Thanks in advance for any responses.

We sent all the info they ask and then we got a request for evidence to send the info we already sent. Which makes me think they lost some of our things. So they may have done this to yours too. Fingers crossed it's something quick and easy to fix

We have the same NOA2 date, and NVC doesn't have ours yet either.

Has your case status been updated online yet?

Congrats and good luck!

I deleted the apps since I didn't need them anymore but I doubt it updated!  If either you or @Christine find out your petition made it to the NVC could you please post it here so I know?? I will do the same

I haven't received a RFE. Still waiting on our application. But this worries me. I don't think we added enough evidence. We included a bit. we've had a relationship for nearly 2 years but I though I would need all that for the interview. We see each other every few weeks so there's lots of evidence. I'm worried we will face more delays.

Don't worry too much, I didn't send that much evidence.  For meeting we only sent airline tickets and photos and that was enough.  I didn't bother sending passport stamps because out of the 4 visits I had to the US to visit him, I only had 2 passport stamps.  For relationship evidence I just sent a few screenshots of chats per month (and luckily we only met in August 2016 so I didnt have to go through much 😂).  Originally I had 40 pages worth of chats and then I thought I was sending too much and pared it down to 15.
