No no feb 1st ... babe called uscis and got a call back from a tier 2 and she told her that we were approved on the 30th.... but I called on the 30th and we weren't approved so I really do believe that they can assign ur case based on how they feel when u call. Since I was told after 4pm on 30th may that the case hasn't been assigned yet...

I see.. Wish I could call USCIS though. My fiancé already went to underway this morning.. I'll just wait until he will update me as soon as he receives our NOA2..

by the way, will I be able to call USCIS myself? Or it would have be the petitioner who is allowed to get any updates about our case?

Hey friend! It depends but It took approximately 11 days for the NVC to receive my application and then an additional 3 days to assign a case number! Speeds up after NOA2!

Hi...our case is still not at the NVC. Our NOA2 was on May 11 and now 22 days later...Still nothing!! Should I start worrying?? As you can see, anxiety didn't stopped even after the approval.

I've called countless times successfully ...

NVC is taking a longer time than what I am expecting. When I call this afternoon, I am being told it is taking 8 weeks to process.

My NOA2 approval date is 5/15 and I decided to call back end of next week.

Ok so how will i know if its ready for interview? Does the nvc send a letter?

Your case will state ready on the ceac site that you use your NVC case number to monitor your case on. The Embassy should also send you corresponding instructions after they have received your case.

Hi Friend! I read somewhere that the NVC receives batch shiped cases from USCIS, so this could possibly be why coupled with the fact that they are a little backed up. They probably have already received your case, it may just be in the mail room or not scanned in yet. Have no fears! Just call every night until they assign a case number which I'm sure they will anytime. And yes, this process brings out the anxious beings in all of us, but just remember the longest part for most of us is finished after the NOA2. 😀

Awesome, thank you. This gives me hope. I feared that they might have lost our case or somerhing. 😱

Though, I hope that they won't take 8 weeks to scan and assign the case number. I will just try and call them every other day and hope I will soon get a "yes, we received it. Your NVC case number is .....".

I really thought that we will be less stressed after we got approved, but I guess we still have a long way to go. We all are in the same boat, no matter if we already got approved or still waiting for the NOA2...we all are stressed, anxious and impatiently waiting to be reunited with our loved ones. 😍

Oh ok so i have to call the nvc to get the case #. I just hope is soon because my son misses his daddy. We spent 2 weeks over there and came back a month ago. Not only do i need this to speed up i also hope that the interview goes smooth because i had my baby last year and was out on maternity leave so my income was very low and i know the look at that. So hopefully its enough that we have a son together and my 5 visits in the last 2 years.

Yes! You got it friend! It's very hard to be at such a distance to someone you love very much but soon you will look back and think it wasn't even that big of a deal 😅. I would check back daily or every other day and ask about your case. You will know when they assign your case number because they will start asking more questions than normal (your name, fiance's name, their birthdate and so on) . These are for security reasons to release the case number to you, at least this is what I have found in my own personal experience. Find things to keep yourself occupied and start getting your stuff ready for interview and medical, also don't forget your affidavits of support and so on. You'll have a case number anytime now Friend!

Hey girl, honestly... if your income was below what was required, I would seriously look into getting a joint sponsor to help you meet the necessary requirements. I would find one asap because they can deny you on the basis of not meeting the financial requirements and ain't nobody got time for that after such an extensive and expensive process 😅. You have to call and get your case number. Just call the NVC and say you want to see if they have received your case and if a number has been assigned. They will look into it. If you wait to hear back from the NVC and you could be waiting a while. Also look into your Embassy specific interview and medical procedures so that everything will be lined up once your case gets to your fiancé's country. 😃

help needed from anyone who can confirm the process from here forth for me.

we got our approval confirmation over the phone- 30/05 ...waiting on hard copy in snail mail.

babe has all the paperwork ready to mail to me- i-134, bank letter, employee letter, w2's, pay stubs, pics from our engagement, pics from our engagement party, pics from our engagement photo shoot

i have thus far collected- police certificate , valid passport, complete and save ds-160 form on ceac website, birth certificate, gettin passport pics today.

my questions are:

how long should i wait until i start calling the NVC?

the case number from NVC is needed to do the medical?

where does packet 3 and 4 come in? (im very confused about these two)

all of the documents that i gathered above are needed for the interview only?

i apologize if my questions dont make sense but ive read the timeline on VJ and other websites and im still not too clear, would appreciate much responses from you guys to help piece the mess in my head together lol

i know there are specific processes based on the beneficiary country- i am Trinidadian.

thanks guys for your help thus far :)
