Hey everyone who is still waiting for NOA2. I just had an emotional breakdown this morning after seeing yet another day with no letter in the mail. This is on top of one of my kids moving on to middle school and leaving elementary school behind. In many ways, I feel like my class (all of my friends here who have their NOA2s) are my graduating class, and I have been left behind. It's a tough road, this is, being separated from the love of my life, with all of the emotional torment that comes along with it, and still trying to keep up with my daily life. There's nothing magic here that I am trying to say. I guess I just wanted to say that I have picked myself up off the floor again, and am trying to carry on. To anyone else out there that's suffering like me, you are not alone, and I understand what you are going through.

I honestly do not think that anyone who has never gone through this process will ever understand what you really are going through unless they go through it. That is with anything in life. Its so hard to be away from the person you love and care about for so long. I think what makes it harder is when you see others who applied after you get approved or when you see other couples out and about you cant help but feel a little jealous even when you try not to be. It does get easier although i am still waiting i definitely try to keep my mind positive because negativity will just drag you down. I am praying you will be with your loved one soon! (L)

Thank you, everyone, for your support. I'm a very logical person, and a lot of times I see things way too logical, and the emotions build up, and then I snap. I'm pretty sure my case is nailed and an approval is coming. The emotions seem to stem from just missing my fiancee so much. We were lucky enough to have been able to live together for 6 months already, and it's just tough with her being away. Then, I tell myself, don't let yourself get hopeful about a letter today, it will only cause disappointment when it's not there, but the other side of me gets excited, and the cycle repeats. :)

Thanks again everyone for the support, and I hope that everyone who is in this process, is reunited with their loved ones soon.

Just wanted to send you some encouragement because you've been a great contributor to the conversations on here. I'm one of those that have the NOA2 but I definitely still need the positivity and support because the journey does not end here. I'm still technically in the same situation as you in that I am still thousands of miles away from my fiancé, so don't feel left out that a handful of us have the case move one step forward. I'm at the NVC stage but I still have breakdowns just like you do. Being apart from our fiancé(s) is tough, and does take a toll and cause many of us to break down from time to time. I hope you can pull yourself up and keep it moving.. let's all look forward and keep supporting any one of us that gets hit with the occasional hopelessness/sadness/frustration.

maybe you find my advise not very smart) but...i think we need to do something PRACTICAL while we are waiting...words of support  help, no doubts!! but what else can we do in real life to help ourselves to feel better?  for me this is sport. it helps 100%. if you feel bad or sad or does not matter how, but not too good, just lift yourself up from the couch and run, walk at the treadmill or do any exercise, or just dance. its proved that phisical activity releases endorphins and reduces stress. besides...3-4 times of any sport per week will make you very nice looking in wedding dress/suit)))

This is great advice. I have cycled 3000 miles in the past couple years and do HIIT and weight training as well. I also like going for walks and do 4K video and 3d audio recording of peaceful nature. Then my fiancee and I listen to all sorts of music together, including jazz (Coleman Hawkins, Ette James, Miles Davis, Alla Fitzgerald, etc), electronica, etc. I'm huge on health, so lots of time spent creating new and healthy recipes. The list goes on and on. I also work about 60 hours a week and raise kids at the same time, so, there's never a lack of things to do or distractions for me. If it were not for all of this stuff, I would be pretty bad off.

Yes I agree.  This is one long wrenching journey, just because of the wait and not knowing anything till that time comes.  Feels like years I've waited.  And now just hoping for no issues and a speedy process around the corner.

So which comes first, a letter in the mail, letter in USCIS, or finding us on a different list here????  I been checking all of the above since day one hoping it would happen sooner rather than later.

Usually you get an online notification from USCIS first. The data you see in the threads here pulls the information from the online USCIS case status tool, so if you see a change for your USCICS receipt number on a list here, that would mean it you could look up your case in the case status tool and see how your case was touched. Recently, some filers (myself included) have had no online notification of a status change, and the case status tool is still showing our case as 'received' but we received the NOA2 letter in the mail. I think the online tool has been working more frequently these days, but I would still keep an eye on your physical mailbox for updates.

114 days as of today. I know just how you feel. This emotional roller-coaster is unlike anything I have ever been through before. I wasn't able to log into this site since Friday, and I was hoping to hear things within USCIS were fixed and they were racing through things. Nope!!!!
