Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster. We are on day 125 - my partner and I submitted our I-129F on February 24, and still haven't heard anything. I get nervous because she and I are both women, and I know they aren't allowed to discriminate based on sexual orientation, but I always get nervous about these kinds of things. I think I made it very clear that we are a couple in our I-129F, pictures, leases, even a life insurance policy... Just need to know if anyone else is still waiting? Thanks.

In addition to what others said, there are countless same-sex petitioners in this very thread who have been approved. It wasn't until after waiting 131 days that I saw an approval for myself.

heyyyy fellow same sex couple here... not to worry you are only being validated based on the documentation require, you are 'X and Y' to the USCIS lol... based on what you said about leases and life insurance policy is it that your fiance lives in the states already?

So I got my medical report from my doctor listing my ailments last week and today I got my vaccinations (my arms are aching so bad lol) thankfully I only needed 2. Now I'm all done and dusted with my requirements for my medical and interview a NOA2 would be smashing!

Day 126 not so patiently waiting......

I've done everything needed already as well, was hoping the NOA2 would come through as my timeline stated, now its a month later than estimated.

It truly is. We are sending the congressman the paperwork to inquire tomorrow -- I don't have high hopes for that - but at least we will know our case didn't get lost or something..?

What I really want to know is how USCIS goes through the files. The order is SO inconsistent its ridiculous. I just saw they updated the processing times today, they are still on 'Jan 15. 2017'  where they were on the same date when they last updated Feb 14. For real?

I know its absolutely ridiculous, my fiance is going to call USCIS again tomorrow and be very persistent on speaking to a tier 2. We never got a response from the congressman which i wasn't impressed about, so this is all we can do for now.

Well apparently you can call both the immigrant line (603-334-0700 ) and the non immigrant line (603-334-0888) to find out if your case has been received.

I received my case number by calling the non immigrant number. I've never called the immigrant line.

Again.. contradictory information person to person. This process is so f'd up, even the people that are supposed to tell how to do are clueless.

We are two women also and waiting, but I don't think it cause of that.  They are just very slow cause it's not their spouse their waiting on.

If all they do is answer the phone and make stuff up, seems like a pretty easy job. :)
