Can someone pass me the correct number to NVC to check status? I have two of them, and I want to make sure I do it right since it is a paid call for me

Hi there, so I'm from Canada and I received packet 4 via e-mail. It has a list of instructions on how to set up an interview with the consulate. I went to the website, to set up an account for it, but it is telling me that "The Immigrant Visa case number provided is not ready to schedule an appointment." That doesn't make sense because I did receive a letter from NVC and a letter from the Consulate, and I checked that the information is correctly written. Is there a way to fix this?

If you just got packet 4 from Montreal I've heard it can sometimes take a little bit to be entered in the system.  Try again tonight and if not then, tomorrow.  I bet you will be able to do it then.

Can I ask how long it took from sending packet 3 to getting packet 4? I am almost at that step.

Can anyone please tell me on the I-134 form, Question number 10.USCIS online account number. Do we input the account number 'WACxxxxxxx'?

Also about case number given by the NVC, where do we input that?

Regarding question 10, you don't have one. Leave it blank.

NVC case number is not needed either.

On a positive note, I'm getting my report from my Dr and booking my vaccinations on Friday. :)

What's the doctors report that you are referring to? Is it your vaccination history, or is it some other kind of medical report? And did you just call up your GP to get it?

On the Knightsbridge checklist it asks you to bring a medical report of any past or present illnesses including psychiatric. So for me i have a couple of life long conditions (1 that i take medication for) so im just going to ask my doctor for some form of report advising of these conditions.

i have a doctors appointment of Friday to request this report & i'll be booking my vaccinations too

After a case number is assigned, you keep checking the CEAC website.  NVC will forward your case to the embassy of your fiance.  When CEAC says READY, it means you can set interview and medical appointments.  (also do you other paperwork, I134, DS-160, etc)

If you look back in the january thread I believe, there were some girls from canada with the same issue.  I think they ended up being able to book the next day (from getting packet 4).
