Good Day all!

My packet was just completed at NVC, after almost 6 month of sitting on someones desk,  finally after getting a hold of the DIRECTOR of NVC. Anyway, my expedite was approved since being at NVC.  I am requesting expedite because I must have open heart surgery that needs to be done ASAP.  My packet was shipped to the Bangkok Embassy on 2/2/17.  The Supervisor Todd (WHO IS AWESOME BY THE WAY!) advised me to call the embassy directly as soon as the packet arrives.  I have been tracking it on DHL.  He said to call embassy directly to schedule the interview the day that it arrives, or the day after it arrives at the embassy to get the interview schedule.  Once I do that, does anyone know how long after I do that, should the interview be scheduled, considering I am a 37 year old needing heart surgery and its all on hold until my wife can get here.  I know we will need at least 2 weeks so my wife can get her medical stuff done.  Any ideas anyone?  How long this can take, so I can prepare myself for my wife and more importantly so I can pre schedule my heart operation.   Does the scheduling process work differently since the expedite is approved. Are we looking at MAYBE end of February or first 2 weeks in March?

Case complete 1/31.  So my packet is one day away from being received by the embassy in Bangkok. (I know, Because I can track on DHL)  How soon will they notify me of what the scheduled interview date is, and typically, how long away from being received is the actual interview? My case was expedited due to a heart surgery I have been  postponing until my wife gets here.  If the Embassy received the packet on 2/7/2017, how soon should I hear something from the embassy? I see similar cases, that the Philippine embassy schedules interview the SAME DAY that they receive the packet, and the interview is about 2-3 weeks after that.   I've emailed them already, should I initiate contact with them, do I schedule online once my CEAC status says "Ready"?  Any advice or experience with this situation before?

I don't know if it's different from your embassy, but I have a medical expedite through the consulate in Mexico.

Once my case status said "READY" I had to log in to the ais.usvisa website and created an account, then selected my own interview date. I didn't receive anything from the consulate; I had to be proactive about it.  Just keep trying to log into the site until it allows you to continue, then you should be able to select your interview date!

Our package arrived at the Bangkok consulate in early December and our interview was 9th January.

They schedule the interviews for each month, during the prior month. Probably by tomorrow or Friday the interview schedule will be up for March.

Good luck, we got a request for additional documentation, which of course was in my wife's hand but they would not look at it.
