we are on the exact same page...my priority date is also Feb 27, 2017. i got my NOA1  on march 6, 2017 and have not heard back. super stressed.....

I'm stressed too! But everything will be fine, patience is the main key & also knowing that everything will be ok & worth the wait. You and I will most likely get a notice between now & mid September for sure. 🙏🏼

It could be August you never know!! Lol

texas service center is up to January 2017 right now, we're almost there! 😌

The only thing I'm worried about is if I'm supposed to save good enough money in my bank account or they just need tax scripts and pay stubs from work to prove good financial status.

from what i know.. they only ask to see a few pay stubs, a W-2 from your last tax return, and they also need a job verification letter from your employer. to support 1 person, you need a gross income of $20,300. if you dont make that much, you would need someone to be a co-sponser for you. its not necessary to have a big amount just in the bank to show that you are financially well off. hope this info helps you. i have had my uncles bring their spouses to the US...so thats how how i know this information (if you're wondering) lol 😊

Have any of you begun preparing your documents for NVC? My husband went to get his police report in Iraq today and they wouldn't give it to him because his passport expires in beginning of 2018. He has to renew his passport now to get the police report. I read in other forums that passports should be renewed prior to NVC. Has anyone else read to the contrary? Also, other forums have suggested that one can call NVC and request permission to bring the police report to the interview only. I am not sure what to do about the police report. Is it critical for the next step or are these claims accurate?

It makes sense to do so but rapid visa told me to wait until after the approval. In my country, it can take up to a month to get the police clearance - so i am also curious to know if its okay to be obtain the clearance now? I have all the NVC documents ready to go.

That makes alott of sense! Thank you so much! 😊😊

your uncles have had that experience so that's going to help you out too big time! 😊

Also, did you send pictures along with your i130 form petition?

I sent mines without the pictures because the agency lawyer I was working with I didn't have to until NVC contacts me.

no i did not. i was working with someone who has a small office that does immigration work...and he said the same thing. in fact, i think if you google requirements for i-130 spouse visa..it tells you what you need. pictures and things like that they dont ask for.

Even though it's not required it is called front loading :)  Some couples chose to do so,

we did it, sent relationship evidence and I'm collecting more for the interview stage as well.

I was about to say the same @Dilorena...It is better to frontload and especially dealing with an Embassy/Consulate from a high fraud country..I pretty much knew what I was up against being that my husband lives in Lagos, Nigeria...I plan to sideload for the NVC once it comes to sending off the AOS and IV package...Some people from low fraud countries really don't have too much to worry about when it comes to frontloading with the I-130 petition...In the meantime, I would just gather all documents when it comes that time for the NVC so that you are prepared with no delays...

Wishing all my fellow February 2017 Filers goodluck on their journey because Lord knows we need it..

I think that's the main difference, Mexico is also a high fraud (especially with the current political climate) so we definitely didn't want to risk it. I wish more people knew about front loading since there's not much info outside of forums, and usually (not always) might lead to an RFE. I know it just made us feel better to front load. How do you plan to side load? I've read how Nigeria is such a difficult country when it comes to immigration, it sucks that the mistakes of some (the whole Nigerian prince thing, etc) makes everything overcomplicated for the rest. That's how I feel, since a lot of people from my country illegally cross the border, but for us it was never a question of doing something shady, we wanted to follow the legal path all the way.

best of lucks! we are in this together <3

@Dilorena I am going back to Lagos in August, so I will be adding new pics, submitting new chat logs, phone logs, Rental lease agreement, recent bank joint account, Visa stamp for this last trip, etc...I am going to send that off with the AOS and IV packages...Basically just submitting new stuff to show our ongoing marital union..I also plan on going back for his interview when that time comes as well...Lagos is a very difficult Consulate, so one must be very prepared..Also a big thanks to dwheels because this woman is very knowledgeable when it comes to this process...As you said it is all about doing it the legal way and being honest...Wishing you and yours some luck and let's keep in touch with our process....

Hi to all quick question do u think all those documents are necessary I mean chat logs, rental agreement, I mean I believe we all would have originally submitted most of those documents prior. Pictures and what not are they necessary as well???? I'm just asking I've been married for 6yrs together for 14 with 3 children but this process requires so much. I plan going back for the interview as well. Guess I need to start gathering more documents if they are needed😞
