Waiting

Went to see my wife 3 months after wedding in thailand

Now planning to see her again in 3 more months

If i see her every 3-4 months time will be easier to get by

Long distance sucks .. we fight/argue occasionaly on stupid stuff... is it just us or long distance does this to u ???

We talk/text everyday with long skype sessions on the weekend

I would get really paranoid sometimes and get upset for stupid reasons too...We made a deal if happens (if my visa dont get approved within 6 months) then husband would consider leaving his country... that makes me feel better but the 6 months ahead sounds like hell to me... i'm going to visit him in LA for a week starting this weekend, at the same time not wanting the visa to get approved this soon otherwise i wont be able to land....

So it's not just you:jest:

Hello!!

Most of April scan dates have received a Case Complete (CC) from the NVC.. Even a few May scan dates have CC's!!

Have you had a chance to look at our spreadsheet? Open to all NVC scan dates in 2017 (mail, email, CEAC upload)

NVC Case Status Spread Sheet -  2017 (save this link in your browser)

Please visit the following, this will update the spreadsheet with your info.

NVC Case Status Questionnaire -  2017

VERY IMPORTANT: please keep your confirmation email from "google forms" to edit your status as your case moves along.. Yes, You CAN bookmark the questionnaire link but only after opening it up via email. I have no access to resend your original questionnaire to you. Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

Thank you, JBMG

VERY Important!! Please read this post. Could save you 11 weeks!!

Hello, for those of you who are about to start the NVC process or already have.. Please make sure you bookmark the following. I've created this because 1/3rd of our cases that are represented on our spreadsheet have received a checklist (like a RFE but for the NVC). Hopefully if you read this, it will reduce the chances of any of you from receiving one. Receiving a checklist can delay your case for 11 weeks (current processing time quoted by the NVC)..  Good luck!! :)

It's for when you reach the NVC stage of your process. To help track the NVC process..  :) Yeah, I don't think we have anyone from February just yet that has reached the NVC stage.. But we have some from January. This is why I posted it here. ;)

Been waiting 140 days today, and we have probably 60 more to go. If we don't get RFEs/ get stuck getting background checks.

That's what I get from being from the land of rapists/murderers and bad hombres.

Good luck on your journeys, guys. I hope you're not feeling as miserable as I am :(

Hi we filed I-130 for my husband's son who is a unmarried minor live outside of the US . Both my husband and I are US citizens by naturalization. Our IOA shows notice date of 2/10/2017 and case is currently being processed at VA Potomac Service Center. Currently USCIS website shows YSC processing as of 11/10/2015 for US Citizen filing for a spouse, parent or child under 21. All the other I-130 is processing as of 1/10/2017. I thought "unmarried, child under 21 of USC" gets priority status?? Is anyone else having the same issue? We called the 800 number a month ago and was told processing date was October 2016. While we are waiting for the Permenant resident process, is there a way to bring my step son here under a visa of some sort? I'm finding information about a K-4 visa that might work for him but then it says the child must be a qualified K-3 nonimmigrant visa applicant. My husband, biological father to the child, is a USC and not a K-3 applicant. Will K-4 still apply?

If you go to Visa Bulletin on DOS website, it shows all current PD but it also stated that USC filed petitions are not affected by PD as there is no quota restriction. You only need to refer to PD if petitioners are not USC so your case should be going along with other I-130 cases, which are now at January and looks like you have another month to go.

Other visa wise you might want to go look up other threads.

I didnt realise it is already that long since we filed. Been through a lot of emotions for the past 2 months and more days with tears to go for me.

Now i'm holding on to the thought that we will eventually live happily ever after and it would be worth the waiting.

Not even sure if the interesting relationship development between "the man who's dedicated to make USA great again" and the country which took my hometown back as part of their land (who also sort of supports N. Korea) would affect our petitions here.

Just hang in there together.

I'm so sorry, I can say I know how you feel. Some days are better than others, but many end up in tears. I try to do the same, my husband is very positive so he likes to think things will work out for the best and everything will end up in a happily ever after but I'm freaking out a little, worried about many things. I'm hoping the fact we are from not so desirable countries won't affect our petitions, but it seems that we do get to wait longer than certain countries, and that's the unfortunate reality of our Journeys. In comparison other countries have to wait even more than us and face more scrutiny as well. It's just a heart wrenching, exhausting roller coster of a journey for so many people.
