Hang in there folks!!!!

I have sent a request to USCIS (regarding my country of birth) and got an email receipt acknowledgement they said they noticed the typo but will not issue a new NOA1, but at least it proofs that someone is working on things!!!!!

what email address did you use ?

I have additional proof of bonafide marriage which i want to send  ..... should i wait for RFE or can i send now ?

There is a few things you can do on the USCIS website, such as typo on NOA, change of information (names, addresses etc)

I did the straight forward thing by calling them directly, they asked me to send a clarification letter about my issue, and then i notify them online with the "typo" function regarding NOA.

You should give them a call they should be able to tell you what to do, and my gut feeling is telling me no harm sending everything upfront before you get the RFE.

Keep us posted on how it goes and best of luck!

if you have android phone.. in the play store just type "USCIS app". it will be the 1st app on the list. the maker of the app is "spinach mobile LLC". if you download it and add all your information such as "service center, priority date" etc, it will notify you when cases similar to yours have any updates. it will also notify you if your case status has changed. check it out and best of luck to everyone :)

I never get any notifications about updates of similar cases...would be nice to see those though. At least I would feel like it's moving towards my case

Hello all.

Currently stuck in the waiting game at Potomac with a case date of 8th Feb. Looking at all the tools and feedback on here guessing the noa2 will be a little while yet.

Questions are;

1: is it recommend to travel to the states while case is processing?

2: once noa2 is issued, will need to get medical, guessing this can be booked once we have a nvc number?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best of luck with all your cases!

Hello there

There's been a lot of discussions about your questions:

1. Before NOA2 yes, after NOA2 No

2. You only need to do medical check up before your interview and you cannot do it do early due to validity of your report (usually 6 months). There are designated medical centres for each country. Refer to this link https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/prepare/medical-examination.html

Explore the website you should be able to get most of the answers there.

Cheers and best of luck!!

Hey Feb filers, wish you all the luck to go through the process. I was really excited to see that I am not alone over here :D

I wonder if it is possible to change address and go through the process with NVC in the other country. We are waiting for response from Texas service center but there is a possibility that my husband will get a job in another country and we want to go there together. Too hard to live separately.

Not sure if it's a better way than IR/CR-1, as the petitioner will have to proof domicile and if he leaves the country and you 2 are together then govt would think you don't need a US residence visa.

But since you have filed for it already might as well just wait, if he moves you can move along and wait for the process to complete.

It's tough it's been a month for us we think everything is meaningless without the significant half around.

After knowing that it's not likely to visit after NOA2 is making it even worse.
