Statements like the one above tell nothing, no-one knows what the guidelines are at present. The facts are fluid both true and false rumours in every direction.

We do know: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38860324

President Donald Trump's immigration executive order has led to the cancellation of tens of thousands of US visas, officials say. A US government lawyer told a Virginia court 100,000 visas had been revoked.
But the State Department said it was 60,000, once diplomatic and expired visas were taken out of the equation.

Courts in at least five US states - Virginia, New York, Massachusetts, Michigan and Washington - are hearing cases challenging the White House executive order.

The State Department said it issued over 11 million immigrant and non-immigrant visas in 2015.

Several judges have granted temporary restraining orders barring US authorities from enforcing portions of Mr Trump's ban.

As more occurs, more will be known.

For some it means a longer timeline, others no change.

Your flag says you are Australian - so there should be no issues unless you also hold a passport from one of the seven "Muslim Ban" countries.  If you do hold a passport from one of the seven countries, you should hold off until the ban has been lifted.
