Do I need to hire a translator/Interpreter?

Hello Everyone,

My fiancee's English isn't that great. She's been going to English learning centers on and off, for the past 2 years and she started off watching a lot of American movies, with Arabic subtitles, and now she watches them with English subs! In general, she understands the story line and can utter a few sentences here and there, but she still struggles with conversations. Moreover, her French isn't up to snuff either. So we were wondering if she should retain services of an "approved translator/interpreter" or does the consulate in Casablanca offer their own, if requested? I have read that some of  the staff in the Casablanca US consulate can speak also French and Arabic, but I think that probably refers the folks at the door, like the security guards and such, and not so much the COs...My fiancee will be more comfortable if she can express herself in Arabic (Darija)...

Please advise...

Thank you!

Hello,

Yes the consulate in Casablanca will offer their own translators which they speak French and Arabic, and they will ask her to choose the language that she prefer to pass her interview

     Good luck to her

Thank you so much!
