Trump insults Arnold during a National Prayer Breakfast

I wonder if it is possible for him to give any public speech without insulting someone? Similar to his "speech" for Black History Month. It's like he needs to constantly remind people of his achievements. It seems so insecure. "Oh by the way, remember when I was a ratings king! I'm so amazing"..."Um, Mr. President, you are President now"..."Yes but I was a TV star!"

 

I know that you can argue he is a "genius" because by throwing out these little negatives he is both asserting his power/dominance, and undermining his enemies but dang it is just awkward as heck. 

 

I imagine at this point anyone behind the scenes saying "Mr. President, maybe you should, I don't know, stay on point and not veer into an insult?" has been "let go".

Is celebrity apprentice still going? Could this perhaps be a ratings ploy?

I have no idea. I was mildly interested in watching when I thought it was just regular Apprentice (I like the UK version which is still going on), but when I saw it was celebrities I passed. 

 

If it were a ratings ploy, it would be the President trying to attract viewers to a show he is EP on (He's EP right? Or something similar) during a "Prayer Breakfast". Still a little awkard to say the least. It would be like finishing his speech with "And make sure you tune it next week to see who gets fired! God bless America".

You know what they say, all publicity is good publicity.  I agree I preferred the normal people apprentice.  It seems that whenever a show is getting on their last legs they go with celeb editions.

If you use a VPN (Hola still works) you can watch the UK Apprentice on BBC iplayer. It's in the fall so it's over now but it is quite entertaining. Lord Alan Sugar is also a much cooler cat than DJT ever will be. An actual "built myself up from nothing" person (His first "business" was selling things out of the boot of his car).

I'm so confused what the standard definition of an Alpha is these days. As Trump as the "representative" the features seem to be:

 

1. Easily offended (Giant snowflake)

2. Requires constant praise and admiration, otherwise see point 1

3. Incredibly insecure (Can't get through a single speech without pointing out the "inferiority" of at least one person)

 

How far the Alphas have fallen it seems.

I used to think Paul Ryan was one of the more respectable members of Republican Leadership.

 

Now I think the best way to describe him is how he was temporarily identified on wikipedia - Invertebrate (Spineless)

 

It's one thing for Trump to say crazy things, and to flip flop, or forget he said certain things. He's Trump, and his fans adore him more every time people catch him messing up.

 

For the actual "career politicians" I find it incredibly awkward every time there is an example of what they once said about him, and what they now say about him. Ryan isn't alone in this by any means.
