My hubby got let go from his job today. We are ok financially with just me working. But will this hurt his citizenship application since he's technically unemployed now? We submit it this Friday.

So have some people that filed in Feb 2017 already received their 10 year GCs?  If so, how does that work? Is it random or do they go in some kind of order. Is the processing times chart on USCIS for CSC super outdated? I hope so, because it shows "processing cases as of date September 22, 2016" ..  um what? Scuuuse me?

Only VSC Feb Filers have been approved. CSC is working on September 2016 applications.

Sorry to hear that. It is not going to hurt or affect his citizenship application. It has nothing to do with the N-400 application as long as he fulfills the other requirements, regards.

Really frustrating however that it's so difficult to schedule an infopass appointment.  Stay positive everyone!  This process can really take a toll on your stress levels

You need to try for an info pass after midnight and the very early morning hours. keep refreshing your page every half hour if you don't get one as cancellations can pop up and you need to be there to grab them. The appointments are only for two weeks ahead.

I tried at midnight and found 1 appointment this week for Tuesday.  By the time I submitted all the info it was taken.  I guess I have to speed type next time.

 

I also submitted an e-request and recieved this notice:

"Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage."

 

I wonder if this is the same response they'd give my Congressman if I request an inquiry?

 

I'll be calling the customer service number on Tuesday to see what information they have on my case.  Hopefully I can get a definitive answer regarding the case status.  Just want to confirm nothing was lost in the mail or in question.  Tried to do a self-check via e-verify and it said I didn't have enough information to complete the quiz?    Can't wait until Tuesday to get some answers!

Actually they probably would, but it would probably take them a couple of months to reply to your Congressman and by that time you will have your GC.  If you talk to them on Tuesday remember that the people on the front line of the USCIS don't have access to all information, only a Tier 2 officer and sometimes not everything. 

 

 And yes I could of told you that you can't do a service request as it goes off their current processing times and I think that is 21st of January for VSC, for them to get to Feb you're probably going to be waiting at least another month for them to up date and even then if its only early Feb and you're after that date, then you can add yet another month.
