@Jack337:huh: Hi there! i'm Max and i'm a chronic Mailbox Checker! "Hey Max".... Honestly this is a dark time for me. This mail box fiasco has brought me to my lowest low. See, we dont have a key to the mailbox, just the landlord (we trust them/ know them so it's cool and we live in a 2 family kinda thing) Anyyyyhooo, when i got home last night i peeped into the box (like i always do, 10 times a day) and i thought i saw something... A spark of hope hit me and so i reached into the narrow opening in the back of the box, but my hand was a teeny bit too chubby and if my hand cant get it  the hubby's won"t either so i made a plan B, use a spatula because we don't have a tongs :-(. ALL TIME LOW  (Also i'm oddly creative).... worst part is, wasn't a damn thing in the box but AIR. This forum keeps me Sane @shell20, i'd be even more nuts without you.

One Dat At A Time people!

Shell and Max, thanks for sharing! Absolutely love both stories!

You are welcome. In all honesty, I don't trust the USCIS system to be that accurate. In fact, no system is perfect but USCIS does have a checkered history of delivering mails. Best of luck to you and everyone in this process.

Oh the joy of ringing them up, typical call is like this blah, blah, blah then I can't answer that I will get a supervisor to ring you back within a hour, twiddle my thumbs, watch the grass grow, the paint dry, stick pins in eyes, count sheep and then oh hours or days later I repeat the same query, only to be told they can't answer the specific question or tell me something that is so incorrect, some say mis-information, however I picked up a new word since I joined the forum it is dis-information.  Oh what joy!! :)  Ah well Friday night there is always vodka, don't smash glasses though, not yet any way! Wink, wink! lol

Good news - got the Removal of Conditional Basis letter from the local USCIS office. Green Card to arrive in T-60 days!! Woot! I thought it was a request for evidence letter since it had no card. Super happy to see the Congratulations! at the beginning of the letter.

Congratulations!!  Well done in making it to the "Elite we like you club". Lol. No jokes aside,  I am happy for you and glad you didn't receive a rfe or an interview, or a house visit or any of that. I however have  crumpets and tea waiting for them and by goodness, if they do visit me I shall speak out for the whole forum.   Any way enjoy, celebrate and if you don't we all will for you! :)

I learned to appreciate Sundays since doing this, I know there will be no mail and I can simply chillax. Even though, I must admit, here and there I look inside my mailbox even on Sundays, in case I unconsciously travelled through space and time and ended up on a week day, conveniently standing within arms reach of my mail.

Well you can appreciate Sunday and Monday this week.  However, I use to think they don't work weekends until approvals seemed to happen on Saturdays.  I think it is time for us to actually enjoy our weekend. I am off to Pittsburgh for a late birthday meal, I am going to just chill and take time out. I should actually email USCIS and ask a few pointers about chilling out and not rushing anything as they seem to have that sentiment LOL!  Oh boy if they weren't in our lives we wouldn't have anything to laugh about and we would be sober and sane. Imagine that! Lol :)

I've been trying to schedule an appointment at the Mount Laurel NJ office at all hours of the day and night and always lists no appointments available.  Extension letter is going to expire March 2nd.  Is there a specific procedure for reaching a customer service representative?  I'm also wondering if any other VSC filer who hasn't received their green card yet has contacted their Congressman yet to make an inquiry into their case.

Well waited for post/mail. Insurance bill for my husband and two credit card invites for me that are duplicates. I give up, next weekend I get to submit my n400 and pay more money, not even looked at those fees we pay them for no service.

Absolutely it has, thinking of doing stand up comic and using the USCIS as my prop.

At the moment we can't even submit a service request, let alone congress. Might be something to do once I get citizenship,if we don't all speak CV out nothing will change.

That's exciting to know. I will be filing next month. It means you are no more waiting on ROC anymore?

Well it means it may be a joint interview.  I am not waiting for ROC so they can add longer on to my N400.

Thanks shell20 for the feedback.  I'm to try to get through to somebody on the customer service number on Tuesday to make sure there wasn't a mailing issue or anything we never received in the mail.  The processing times for ROC are listed as January 27th 2017 for VSC so I'm assuming they will tell us to keep waiting before making any inquiries.

Really frustrating however that it's so difficult to schedule an infopass appointment.  Stay positive everyone!  This process can really take a toll on your stress levels
