Hi, everyone.

My husband just sent me a picture of my approval letter! WOW. It says my IR1 green card will arrive within 60 days. The letter came from Vermont.

I haven't kept up with my timeline but I did biometrics 3/31/17 in New York. Date of decision 2/12/18.

HANG IN THERE.

I am so excited and relieved.

Congratulations!!!! Wow,  they really are working hard this week.  I guess they deserve to let their hair down at weekend, oh and Monday, can't forget Presidents Day! :)

The part where you have to carry your GC around wherever you go is annoying. If you lose it or it gets stolen you have to pay a $500 fee to get a new one. Once my husband lost his wallet with GC in it in the snow. Luckily we found it.

As for drivers license he doesn't have one. He's able to take the bus to and from his job. We are waiting till he's a citizen before he gets a license and a car. Having to declare any kind of traffic ticket is something we don't want to have to do.

Also when I imagine USCIS I imagine a giant room with a ton of boxes and a bunch of cubicles on the sides. And the agents getting up and taking stacks out at random dumping them on the floor.

That would be far too boring, them just getting them from the HUGE warehouse and reading every page. Imagine how boring that job would be, although come to think of it, I bet they have seen some hilarious photos, I know I was laughing at some that we sent off.  Wonder if they go round and say have you seen this, or have you read what this person has put.   I can imagine them doing it with their cups of tea with a biscuit/cookie.

Sorry coffee, that's more popular.

Happy Friday everyone!

Just looked at the USPS delivery digest, and there is a letter there from USCIS. The sad part is it is most likely just an acknowledgement of receipt for the N-400 package. Beginning of a new journey before the last one ended.

On a side note, I will start a part time job soon. I got verbal congratulations from the hiring manager yesterday during my interview. I hope the extension letter is not an issue to this employer. LOL!

Well thats me being called for interview then, they will have to decide if I am real or a swamp monster.  Talking of which I washed my hair last night and didn't blow dry it, so its all wavy and I do look like a swamp monster. If they are thinking of visiting today they can help me wash last nights pots as I wasn't feeling very well and they are still in the sink.  :)

Hey Camtor, does it have the statue of liberty on it?  AKA as freedom from USCIS? :)

It happened with my AOS they had a typing error on the address. I asked them to fax it through as I had my biometrics a day later.  Then i had to change my address as they had typed it in wrong and a month letter I received both letters. Ring up and ask them the address they have written down, then get informed delivery through USPS so you can track mail before its delivered.
