bunch of envelopes in  mail box  every day and i feel like i want to throw everything away when i dont see anything from USCIS :(

I didn't look at informed delivery for a while, in the hope if I was thinking about it, it would just happen, but that didn't work.  Today I looked straight away and another credit card offer, wrong card again!

I also had to wait (almost) a year for my AOS in 2015, came on a K-1 in 2014. But I did get my EAD in 3 months, but never used it because I couldn't get a driver license without a GC. <_<.  In a few days it will be 11 months waiting for the ROC..ah well it's normal. I'm use to it :D. I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully get an approval very soon.

Hope you hear soon too.

I have a question . Do we have to no matter what get an extension letter if we dont recieve the green card yet ? Our is it optional ?

Its optional, however if you need a driving licence or such, then if you have a driving licence centre like mine, you need it.  Also, probably a good idea if anyone wants your identity, all that must carry your GC with you all times, so you can lose it or get it stolen.

Looks like ROCs are not the only ones waiting a long time. I had a customer yesterday who said she filed for AOS a year ago along with AP and EAD. She never got her combo card and it's been a year now and she's till waiting on AOS. Shes from Canada. Came on K-1. She was sending out something to USCIS Chicago lockbox I think another application for AP. She was very frustrated. I told her about my husbands immigration process and how we've been waiting on ROC for a year now. She wished us both luck in approvals to happen soon.

At least the USCIS are consistent. Imagine if they sped up we might all be ill with the shock of it!

OMG I don't think the USCIS are feeling too well a couple of approvals coming through and they have also updated their processing times today, on time for a change.

I dont have a problem with that, first read our packages, then read our posts and have all the laughs u want uscis!

That just made me laugh out aloud!  It's true though isn't it!  I think its weird when they turn up at the house, imagine that happening when you wake up with bed hair, looking like the swamp monster (as my friends tell me I do) and opening the door to USCIS doing a house visit.  I would end up interrogating them asking why applications were taking so long.

Wouldn't know anything about that, my hair is always freakin perfect, thank u very much! Lol

I am glad for this forum though, you know there is people out there, good people, going through the same thing you are! It is a form of therapy, it is very hard to put your future in hands of some stranger in imigration. Especially if you are a divorce waiver.

I know it's very evasive, but I guess it has to be to catch out the fraudulent cases.   What I don't understand is them asking for stuff, say for example a divorce certificate from my husband only to ask for it again when we apply for N400.  You have it, look in the file, the big 15lb file we sent you, or perhaps the AOS huge file and the K1 file, thats after you have blown the cobwebs of them all! :)

No I think they just pick a date from thin air!  Only joking that is as of December 31st, so no idea what they have been doing the past two months.   I imagine its a bit like the lottery, they come in each morning roll the balls and the ones picked out are the files they concentrate on!  Actually, that would be pretty funny if they did that.

Sometimes I wish they would come over...five minutes here would be enough to have my approval signed and sealed, lol. Toddler running around, grumpy grandpa telling them (uscis) who they should be chasing after...oh the joy! 😂🤣

Jokes aside, good luck to the Vermont folks, your big day is just around the corner! As for us CSC filers, only hope and more waiting...*sigh*

Hi, everyone.

My husband just sent me a picture of my approval letter! WOW. It says my IR1 green card will arrive within 60 days. The letter came from Vermont.

I haven't kept up with my timeline but I did biometrics 3/31/17 in New York. Date of decision 2/12/18.

HANG IN THERE.

I am so excited and relieved.
