Just got my I797 NOA Approval Letter in the mail today.

Applied for ROC: 02/22/2017

Decision Made (approved without RFE or Interview): 01/28/2018

Approval Letter in Mail: 02/03/2018

Card in Production: ???

So how long will I receive my actual gc? The letter says “within 60 days”. Do you think it can be sooner than 60 days?

No update on MyCaseStatus profile.

Thanks guys! Goodluck to everyone!!

Congrats froglet! It is encouraging to see all these approvals coming in, I applied end of January 2017 and it will be a year since I received my NOA this coming Tuesday, I see that you applied end of February so it took less than 12 months for you, I'm hoping to hear something in the following weeks! Why do you guys think some people who applied later hear before others who applied earlier? Is it a background check issue most of the time? What a nerve wracking process... every time I get a USPS informed delivery email I get so nervous haha. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!

I understand that sentiment. Yesterday there was a March filer approval and Ive no idea how that works, but I do know somewhere on the forum there is a former worker who wrote about they operate in the USCIS centres. I think what probably happens is that one worker works on so many forms per day and if they go on vacation it probably stays on their desk until they return, or perhaps some workers get through more cases than others.   I can't remember but it was interesting reading.

Oh wow, so they can approve without leaving a trail.  Here is me looking to see if they have "touched my case", but it seems there is no  trace of them pressing the approval button.  Thank you for that, it helps others to know just because your case isnt seemingly "touched", you can still be approved without knowing.  :)

I didn't know you could see when they last touched your case. Everytime I check case status it doesn't show that. Just says your case was received.

Got my approval :) email today (from my layer) - Was freaking out so got an i551-stamp . Incidentally according to the notice, it was approved the same day 01/31. NYC Infopass appt was impossible to find - so booked one in Hartford, CT. When I went there the lady asked to see my proof of CT resident and I said I'm staying here temporarily and my extension expires soon so I need the stamp. She said she can book an appt in NYC as she has "better access" to it and guess what showed as completely booked out for weeks were completely available. Did that and in a day I heard from my lawyer with a scan of a notice that I was approved.

If I remember correctly package was sent 1/31/17 on a 02/05/17 expiration. Married but divorced in 9 months and has jointly filed a wiaver too.

it is where it says last updated and assuming they updated my case on the 7 march to send out the bio-metric letter, although I did have an info pass around that time and asked about my bio-,metrics when I was there, so that could have left the trail.

Just got back to USA. Showed the extension letter at the JFK airport and the officer just told me to get in touch with USCIS about my case. I was on a 4 weeks vacation.

Checked my mail and no letter from USCIS yet. Wondering when will I receive the letter. I’m I the only one who haven’t receive approval yet 😔 I should hear from VSC 😔

congrats on on those who have been approve tho. 😊

No you're not the only one who has not been approved via Vermont, I think around half have and half of vermont Jan filers. Your status wont always change online, many people have had letters with no activity on their USCIS whatsoever. Hold in there, Im sure you will hear in the next couple of weeks. :)
