Awwww congrats on being pregnant!!! Babies are such a blessing!!!! We have one little girl and hope to have more!!!

I am happy that the officer was nice enough to give you the stamp. I am scared that I will drive out there with my daughter in tow, only to find out we are too early. Plus I’d prefer my husband to come with me just in case it’s a long day.

Good luck with everything!!!!

Its pretty much dependent on your office, some will do it a month before, some (like mine) two weeks before. One person went for a stamp recently and was told they don't do stamps on that particular day.  There is no consistency and I cant remember when you make an info pass whether or not it asks you want you need to visit for.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

As I lost my GC, this is my field office, yours may be different.  Any way I went for a stamp and they said you can come back in a year, 2 weeks before the stamp expires.  They wont send a new letter Im afraid, it has to be the stamp.

Yea it was just a wish that they could just send out a new letter with a new expiration date. Hahaha. Save people from taking time off, driving hours etc.

oh ok. So yes I will book an appt closer to the end of February!!! ☺️

Oh geez. I couldn’t imagine driving all that only  way to be told. “No stamps today!!!”

Ohhhhh I would be pretty upset!

When does your GC expire?  I think info passes are 2 weeks in advance.  Well they were last  Feb l when I made one and then when I went back in May.

Hi all,

I filed for ROC in February 2017, and was quietly following along until now - in such a long and opaque process it helps to see how everyone else is doing.

I just received my new card (from VSC), but it is only for 5 years, not 10. Is this the new standard, or just a mistake? I expected it would be 10 years....Even if it is a mistake, I'm not sure I want to correct it and deal with USCIS voluntarily all over again, but I am curious. Of the other people who got their new cards already - did you get 5 or 10 year cards back?

My details if anyone wants to share on the list:

Applied ROC 2/6/2017

Decision date 1/23/2018

Letter received 1/30/2018

Card ordered 1/26/2018

Card received 1/31/2018

Good luck to those still waiting! Hope things move just as quickly for you all once the decisions roll in.

Then you need to make an appointment for March, as its not the extension letter they go off but the date of your expired card plus one year.

Never heard of a five year card, that is a new one to me. It seems it is a mistake and I would most certainly ring up USCIS.

If you go to  your case status via USCIS, log in,  at the bottom it will say receipt number, followed by last updated, followed by form, email alert, mobile alert. My last update is there and it was done last March it just says 03/07/17

Thank you! I created an account. Sadly, they have not touched it since last year. I am not even sure that was after the biometrics. Still waiting.

That sucks.  At least you can keep an eye on it now, just be careful not to forget your pass word as its nearly impossible to reset.

Thank you! It's been a few years coming :) We have enjoyed nearly 4 years of being married, traveling and just enjoying being together daily after a long long-distance relationship and can't wait for this next chapter! Awww, we're also having a little girl! I can't wait (but also scared and nervous haha).

Yes, I got really lucky. After explaining my situation about being due and/or being within the first few weeks of having my newborn as a FTM, he ended up giving me the stamp. I just told him I really didn't want to delay it if I can't come in and thought it was better to come in now. I have heard of officers not being so kind here too... luckily for me, the office isn't far from me, so I knew I could come back if they didn't. I know there are others who travel hours for their appointment.

Thank you! I hope we all get approved soon!

That's really weird, I would definitely call them. I received my GC last Monday and expires in 2028.

Good tip on creating a USCIS account. I tried to access mine, and it was locked for inactivity. Reset password and got back in to add my new case (CRI-89). It tells me that it was last updated 2/24/2017.
