Good morning everyone!  Hope to see lots of approvals today even though its a cold, bitter day, hope the sun is shining over our cases.  Good luck!! :)

I hope more people get approved. Waiting over a year is horrible, feels like being in limbo. I feel especially bad for those who have jobs that require them to take vacation days to go get their stamp (here's me hoping I get approved before April so I don't need to get my stamp).

I do can apply for dual citizenship with my country, already talked to my immigration lawyer about it.

Now when exactly, if in 5 years from now, or whatever I am not aware...not going to anytime soon anyways.

But I do can apply for dual citizenship with my country. Already looked up online the things I’d had to do in Germany before filing here for it, so my German one wouldn’t get lost...

It is five years from the date of your conditional GC, so around  20 months for you (without knowing your timeline)  give or take a month if you want too go in for it, but I am sure you just want to celebrate ROC and get on with your life in the USA without worrying about ROC and such.

I am sure you will hear something before April. I know I keep saying this but I do believe that it will turn around and we will see it faster than the year we have just had, I don't see it slowing down any more.  Good luck! :)

I hope that too, thank you shell20!

As what I know, you can apply for N-400 after 5 years since your first GC date, that means they calculate your past residency years.

So if you have been a permanent resident since 3 years ago, you could apply for N-400 after 2 years from now.

And your N-400 window will open 90 days before your fifth GC anniversary date.

I check most days, but I don't know why as most people seem to get an approval letter before the status updates.   I am not sure if you can tell by seeing the last they updated your file, as mine file says it was last looked at them in March. No idea why, but nothing since.   Perhaps check when they last looked at your file, that might give a clue they have been looking at your case, perhaps?

The OP is divorced, so 5 years minus 90 days from the conditional GC.

Awww thanks. I don't mind waiting my turn though. Wish California applicants had some good news, as its getting pretty exhausting making up excuses for their lack of speed! Lol! :)

Just received four (FOUR!) text messages from USCIS saying my case has been updated. Checked online and it says my new card is being produced. Thought it would take longer!
