I have news I want to share with you guys first. Today I went to my mail box about five minutes ago and there was an approval letter dated 20 Feb from the Vermont center/centre.

Maybe they are waiting to send the GCs on St. Patricks day since they are green after all.

I just went to the local USCIS here in Seattle to get my stamp. The lady said that CSV estimate waiting time is 14-15 months. She also only gave me a stamp for 6 months. She said I should get my green card by then and they only give out 6 mo the stamp from now on. Is this something new? Anyone has similar situation

Just got my approval notice in the mail. It was dated 01/17 and says it's from the Boston field office. The envelope was postmarked 01/19 from Vermont. My online status never updated.

Congratulations on getting approved! It looks like although USCIS website currently says VSC is processing November 2016, they did get to February 2017. Hopefully CSC catches up at some point.

I had my ROC filed on February 10, 2017.... so seems like I should hear something any day now? Omg so nerve wracking.... hopefully it happens this week.... did you get your card with this letter or was it just a “congratulations ... you’ll receive your new card in 60days” kinda letter??? My extension letter expires on February 11, 2018 (and so will my drivers license),.... so if I should get approved this week with the approval letter, would that be enough to go to the Drivers License Office to get a new drivers license or do I have to go to my field office (New Orleans) and get the stamp in my passport in order for my drivers license to get renewed??

I have been following this thread for a year now. I finally decided to create an account. 

 

Can someone please add me to the timeline as i do not yet know how to do it myself.

 

CSC Processing Center:

Date of I-751: Feb. 11, 2017 

NOA-1 Date: Feb. 13, 2017 

Biometrics: Mar. 9, 2017 

 

I will be applying for Natz next month, will any of you also be applying for natz next month? If yes, how much evidence will you include in your packet?

Where did you file you ROC? Vermont or California? 

If Vermont was your service center, yes you might hear something in these 30-60 days.

But if you are a California service center filer, you have to wait more, you might hear something in June-Aug 2018

05/06/2015 Scheduled the interview and mailed its notice.

06/16/2015 The Post Office picked up mail containing the new card.

06/16/2015 The 2 years Green Card was mailed to me.

06/18/2015 The 2 years Green Card in hand.

 

I-751 (ROC)

03/13/2017 Sent I-751 documents to CSC.

03/14/2017 Package received.

03/16/2017 Check cashed.

03/??/2017  NOA received.

03/14/2017 NOA dated.

03/27/2017 Biometrics. "walked-in" 

02/26/2018 Case transferred to my local office.

05/01/2018 Case transferred to another office.

05/07/2018 Received letter in mail, my case was transferred to NBC. "Letter's date is 05/01/2018" 

06/05/2018 Received letter in mail, they will do an interview at the same time, date and location of my N-400 interview. "06/21/2018"

06/21/2018 The combo interview (with N-400 interview). But it's still pending until they send me the result of this interview.

06/27/2018 The case was approved, with the N-400 approval.

04/02/2018 Applied for N-400 Online. (I-751 is still pending)

Passed the English test and the U.S. history and government test.

But: A decision cannot be made yet about my application. The reason is my pending I-751 file! 

06/27/2018 The case was approved (with the I-751 approval), and placed me in line for oath ceremony.

07/09/2018 Oath Ceremony was scheduled.

I was a vermont filer.... my question was  if the congratulations letter would be enough, to get a new drivers license or if I would have to wait until I get my actual GreenCard in the mail??Or do I have to go to New Orleans to get my stamp in my passport still (even though I have approval letter for new greencard) .... I am not approved yet, but was wondering about this, because my drivers license expires on February 11, 2018!

I'm not sure, but I think it's not enough, don't worry, usually they send the new card within 1 or 2 weeks after the approval letter.

No card, just the letter today. The back of the letter says "Please note that simply filing an application, petition or request, or having an approved petition does not give the person it was filed for (also known as the beneficiary) permission to legally enter the United States. It also does not grant any legal immigration status." I'm guessing that the letter wouldn't be enough.

 

Are you sure your extension letter expires on the 11th if you only applied on the 10th? The extension letter should expire one year from the expiration date of your 2-year green card, not from the date of the letter.

I got my stamp at the Chicago office today. The immigration officer said the same thing about the CSC waiting time to me and gave me a 6 month stamp. Did they clip your Green Card? They clipped mine saying that you're only allowed to have one document to enter the country. No card, just the letter today. The back of the letter says "Please note that simply filing an application, petition or request, or having an approved petition does not give the person it was filed for (also known as the beneficiary) permission to legally enter the United States. It also does not grant any legal immigration status." I'm guessing that the letter wouldn't be enough.

 

Are you sure your extension letter expires on the 11th if you only applied on the 10th? The extension letter should expire one year from the expiration date of your 2-year green card, not from the date of the letter. 

Yes, my card expired on 02/11/2017... so the one year extension will expire one year after that,... 02/11/2018...my drivers license will expire same day (02/11/2018).

 

I already have an infopass appointment scheduled for January 29, 2018 to get my stamp in my passport, so I should be okay I think.

No, the lady was really nice. She gave me back my GC and my extension letter. Yes, I just want the process move faster.
