So if it weighs too much then it's sent to the field office and deemed too much evidence? I think ours is 1 lbs or 1 lbs and a half.

I just know this particular case weighed 1lb and I had read an article, just before I read about this post that too little evidence might cause an interview, too much evidence may trigger an interview. I wouldn't know what is too much nor too little. I am just guessing and its only a guess, that this particular case was judged by weight as I am sure they don't scan a folder that quickly and within two months send a letter out for an interview. I could be wrong, it could have been an audit and randomly picked out of the hat. I guess it just seemed coincidental that this case seemed to have less evidence than others. (as they listed their evidence in their post).

We basically have everything in our packet except pictures. We are not picture people. We hate cameras. We have a lot of financial and insurance evidence that website said is the most important though including all our medical and dental claims.

Mostly when I have had a couple of glasses of wine. I DO wholeheartedly expect CSC to pick up within the next couple of months. I have said this for a couple of months, ever since DACA slowed down and  some 1-129 cases were transferred at the beginning of this month. If they don't then USCIS has a lot to be accountable about.  I will continue to remain positive with my glass half full, as long as its not wine, as it wont stay that way! :)

hhhahahaaaaa I trust you. You know you will hear from VSC pretty soon. Wouldn't it be a perfect start of the year for you by getting your GC in a month and you are already on vacation?

The other thing to think about is some types of evidence will be stronger than others. I  can understand weighing the heavy packet then sending it off asking for interview but they should have at least given the lighter packet a chance and looking through it before scheduling an interview.

Yes, but this is just based on theory and what I have read.  I am sure you will be ok and if anything which probably wont even reply they will send an rfe if in doubt.  I doubt they send as many cases to field offices since the new rule of certain AOS have to be interviewed, they just dont have the man power.

Also he's from England so id hope that'd help. So are all AOS getting mandatory interviews? And that's why you think not as many ROC will get interviews?

Some not all AOS filings are mandatory. I cant remember what they are adjusting from I think work visas and something else but dont quote me on that.  It was a new ruling that came out last year.

To be honest the case I was talking about was from England which was a surprise but I think you are worried too much. I am the one expecting an interview my file was heavy and not much evidence in the heavy file.  I also believe though if they interview me the sooner i shall receive my GC.

How can you not have much evidence in a heavy file?

i gave them every single bank statement with our joint bank account, then lots of photos, mail receipts that i had kept with my name on and some of his, which tends to accumulate after 3 years of being married.

Firstly, did that stamp taste good? :P

We are also located in the Minneapolis metro. Although we don't plan to get the stamp until a month before the GCs 1 year expiry date. We don't really need it for anything unless his current employer asks for it. I don't like the sound of more interviews. Ugh. Also they take away your current GC??

You can only carry one valid GC/equivalent at the time, hence you get the stamp in lieu of the card.  Plus I'd have to say that we are fortunate to live in Minnesota and be serviced by the very nice people at the office.  Not sure if the Minnesota niceness stretches beyond the border but from my experience of traveling around the country no other government employees treat me as well as the ones here in Minnesota (USCIS, CBP, etc.).
