I would schedule an info pass, however the employer is acting against the law by not allowing your husband to continue to work.  Unfortunately the letters aren't that easy to understand but there are various ways to prove status and they can check your husbands status online.

Hey folks,

 

My wife and I applied way back in February, 2017 for the ROC. We sent our package to CSC and, as many of you guys, haven't heard back from them yet.

 

Package Sent: 02/24/2017

NOA Date: 02/27/2017 (Extension letter)

Biometrics: 03/10/2017 (Early walk-in due to travel plans)

I read a lot of posts of people saying that they need to go to one of their offices and request a stamp on their passport. Well, I have a question regarding that.

My GC only expires in May but, as we applied for the ROC in February, and my extension letter is from February, 2017 when does my CPR status expires ? One year after receiving the extension letter or one year from the date that the GC expired?

As far as I understood, the extension letter extends my status for another year and as my GC (which my CPR status is attached to) expired in May, 2017 I would have until May 2018. I just want to know if I need to make an appointment soon if I still have time and can wait until April, 2018 to request a stamp on my passport. (But I hope that we get approved before April, haha!)

 

Also, have you guys heard anything about the processing time for CSC ? And for how long do they normally extend the CPR status for when they stamp your passport?

Got a case update today via email. It says “ On January 8, 2018, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EACXXXXXXXXXX will mail it to the address you gave us....” 

 

Does it mean my case is approved? I havnt  got any letter since they mailed my receipt and extension letter.

Great news was waiting in our mailbox today, my husband got his case approval letter from USCIS! 

 

Decision date on the letter was 1/1/2018.
