I have news I want to share with you guys first. Today I went to my mail box about five minutes ago and there was an approval letter dated 20 Feb from the Vermont center/centre.

Me also, although need to look at N400 forum to see what is going on.  Cant harm your ROC application to do that, but I feel and truly believe that now CSC have caught up with other applications they will play catch up this year with ROC and no doubt at some point over take Vermont.

I was expecting an RFE because we didn't include our W2s and 2016 tax return, but fortunately I got an approval without an RFE.

Im definitely expecting an RFE, as we have joint nothing other than medical and a bank account.  I did do a covering letter regarding it, but I still expect one and the sooner the better. We did send our joint taxes.  I am SO happy for you about time we had that little glimmer of hope regarding approvals. I think January filers are around 35 percent, although not all would have updated their times and most were approved Nov/Dec. Vermont of course, but that is definitely subject to change now CSC have stopped processing other applications.  Good luck everyone and I am looking forward to seeing approvals every day!

How many things do they expect for both your names to be on? We have joint lease, joint health insurance, joint dental, joint tax returns, and joint flight tickets from when we flew back to his home country to visit his family a few times. That's all we have in joint. We don't have joint bank account but we do transfer money between our accounts which we sent with our packet explaining that with our transfers highlighted. Oh also we have joint utility bills too.

By the way..My case status still says card was mailed (2yrs ago).. no updates of fee waiver.. extension letter good until february. Just came back from vacations and used it to travel. It says so because you’re looking at the wrong case. You need the number from your extension letter to track this one.

The soonest you can file is 90 days before your 3 year residency anniversary.

Maybe they're too busy playing catch up to bother issuing RFEs. Could work in our favor.

 

I could be wrong but I guess I had more than enough supporting documents, so they didn't care about our 2016 tax returns. 

 

This is what I had, 

 

Our 2015 W2s and 2015 tax return, joint house mortgage & car loans, joint bank account statements, & credit card statements, joint health insurance cards, joint car insurance, beneficiary in each other’s retirement savings plan, beneficiary in each other’s life, disability and accidental death insurance, flights & hotel reservations of all the vacations, receipts of gifts given to each other, pictures together, a few house and auto loan pre-approvals that we didn’t use.

I think you will be fine and get approval without an RFE because you sent the most important documents - joint taxes, joint bank statements & medical.

Hi everyone,

 

I just found this thread. Can someone kindly add in my information to the tracker:

 

VJname = hkamal

Date of I-751 - 2/2/17

Date of NOA1 - 2/7/17

Biometrics - 3/3/17

Approval - ??

 

Service Center  = California Service Center.

I do have a question. My 1 year extension ends on 2/22/18. Will I need to apply for another extension for work purposes or can I continue on the existing 1 year permit? Does any one have some guidance they can share if you are in a similar position?

Not too sure as we have no utility bills in joint names, no car insurance, i dont drive etc.  It is what is and i cant submit what i just don't have.
