No change here. Although by the time the ROC is approved, I am thinking we will be able to apply for naturalization. I'm not sure though if the timing is right. My husband will have been with me here for 3 years on May 5th 2018. Am I correct that we will be able to apply for naturalization? We will be married for 4 years this September 2017

3 years from your GC expiry date you can apply and then 90 days before that date as with ROC.

So basically in Laymans terms a year to the day that you filed for ROC,  So whatever day you filed for ROC in February of this year, you can file for Naturalization in Feb next year.

There may or may not be. Some get an interview for ROC and some don't. If the adjudicator you get doesn't think you've provided sufficient evidence of your ongoing marriage and life together they may send you a letter giving you a date for an interview. If you've sent a lot of evidence most likely you won't get interviewed.

Hey all. Just a question (for ur opinions). My family and I r traveling to Mexico from Cali in Sept 2017. My visa extension expires feb 2018. Does any one think I ll have any issues??? Just wondering if about traveling 4 months before expiration. Don't know if that's cutting it close lol 

 

I have travelled  to Canada this summer with out any issues.

Add one year to your conditional green card expiry date, subtract 90 days from that date and that's the date you can apply.

This is so funny, my wife and I are going to mexico at the end of September as well. We are going under assumption that it is just fine, but i guess you never know... We spoke to an immigration lawyer and were told that it should be fine. I guess we will find out soon enough!

You can file 90 days before  a year after the expiry date, so sometime in Feb 18

If you  haven't received your 10 year card and its 90 days before the  1 year anniversary of your conditional GC expiry date, then you can file N400, they can be concurrent.

 

In Layman terms you can apply for N400 in Feb, needs to be 90 days before the expiry date on your conditional GC plus 1 year, not a day before or they will send it back. And you can do this even if you have not received your 10 year card.
