Hopefully! It took me almost a year for my GC after AOS and we did an interview too. We were 15 days delayed after our interview because they didn't have our packet yet. And that was nearly a year from AOS (and freaking out whether or not we had to file for a renewal/extension). Hoping this process go smoother for us all! :)

Some you can. I was at a very very busy location today where the average wait was 2 hours. I saw some people get turned away or asked to come back... the worse that can happen is that they say it's too busy today.

just did my biometrics this morning. It took about an hour but FYI....for anyone doing their biometrics at the ASC office in Santa Ana, CA, they charge for parking. Cash only $1.50 for every 20 mins. 

 

 

LUCKY YOU!! I did mine this morning in Buena Park... it was 2+ hours of terrible wait time. I did Santa Ana my first time when I did AOS and it was smooth and quick. I probably was in an hour in 30 minutes or less... today, I was there at 10:30 and out by 12:45.

Some you can. I was at a very very busy location today where the average wait was 2 hours. I saw some people get turned away or asked to come back... the worse that can happen is that they say it's too busy today.

Yea it was an easy process. Just sucked that I was not aware that they charged to park but moreso that they only accepted cash!!! I mean who carries cash any more lol. So with my 2 year, we walked to the bank only to find a long line up and atms had no $$$ smh. Thankfully my hubby was working in the area and came thru to pay the parking guy. Lol. Turned out to be a nice day as we were able to grab lunch together ....Silver lining!! ?

That's the one perk of BP then... no paid parking! Haha. But I would've paid to not sit there for 2.5 hours :P

 

Definitely a silver lining, hope your journey goes as quickly and as painlessly as possible. They had a TV in the lobby and the news came on and of course the main topic lately is immigration in the US. 40 of us just sitting there watching the news like... oh man. LOL

Hi guy,

 

So I will go to my biometric this coming Friday. I am thinking to go back home for my friend wedding in June. I know it typically takes about 6+ months to be approve. 

Do you guys think it's ok to travel with only the i751 notice of extension. With all the craziness going on presently I just want to be sure.

The last thing I want is unable to come back in.

Hi Guys I add to VSC. I don't know if I should start worried. I send my ROC on 23th they received it on 25th and I still don't have NOA. I send money order so I don't know if they cash it. I hate the wait.

I'm in the same predicament. My GC is expiring in May and I also have a wedding back home... I was told to travel by air and cross in major airports where agents are likely more exposed to K1 visa's and NOA's. 

 

Your NOA shows an extension, but your GC will show it's expired. Depending on the agent you get, you cannot be 100% sure. I haven't decided yet whether or not I will be attending this wedding (though I would love to). I'm also traveling through Canada, which is fairly "safe" though I've heard stories as of late of agents being confused with protocol and not sure what rules to follow.

don't worry, i'm sure it's in the mail. mine came in on the 3rd week. i also did money order

izaksly, shell20 thank you Guys :) Let's hope i'll get it soon. I'm very impatient, waiting for the tax transcript from the IRS nearly a month gave me new gray hair, by the end of this process I will be completely gray.

Well I tend to agree especially as we are the unlucky ones that had to file at VSC. Unless VSC say you know what we are sick of CSC always ahead of us and decide to compete.  You never know!!!
