@zyxjl143 Congrats on the GC ! about N 400. I've filed mine 30 days prior ( you're allowed 90 days prior) of my GC expiration date. Did my BIO last month already n now i am just waiting for my interview to be scheduled ( i 751 still pending so i have to wait for my GC approval before they proceed with my N 400) Goodluck.

Hi Everyone

Im I-751 October 2017 filer lurking around here with the Febs :D

@Derwood

Your turn of events happened in identical order to mine.

"February 25, 2018: I-751 receipt number mysteriously 'activates' with 'We received your case'

February 26, 2018: 'We received your case'

March 5, 2018: 'We received your case' although that update has disappeared out of the history."

I'm wondering if I may receive the same notice.

Did you file for citizenship yet? Or it is probably too early since you are in October.

We are February 6th, so 10 days before @Derwood, but nothing in the mail yet. We didn't apply for Citizenship yet, which is why I am desperately wondering if this transfer is real or not. I have all the email updates, but nothing else has really happened yet.

Have you done your biometrics yet? Because @Derwood is about to do his Bio tomorrow.

We did biometrics 1 year ago. But I think that because @Derwood did biometrics last year and is doing it again for his new N-400 citizenship application. We didn't file that yet because I was waiting to this year's taxes, plus if we can get the card sooner I prefer that. Citizenship says 1 year more waiting in my locale.

I think maybe his was transferred because of the citizenship.  They combine cases and that would be different from us. Maybe I will call tomorrow. lol

I love the fact that filers from the different months, tend to hang out here! :)  Derwood received emails and text messages last week to say his case was transferred, did you get any of those yet? Not sure its because they have filed N400 or not I feel its because of the back log.

Not sure about that, could be. I heard last week it goes to NBC before interview and seeing as Derwood will need an interview for N400 it may be a combined one. However, I have also read online that they do this sometimes when there is a huge backlog and there is a huge back log.

I wouldn't worry about it. It is often commonplace that various USCIS ServiceCenters shuffle cases among each other for "efficiency" and faster adjudication purposes, especially backlogged cases. Hopefully you'll obtain a positive final resolution to your case soon.

Something I found online regarding when cases are transferred to NBC and we know there are backlogs!  The plot thickens again. Its like watching a thriller and not knowing the ending. You know you have things to do like tending to the family, but you are riveted by the story line and trying to guess the ending!  Here's the ending, everyone gets an approval in super quick time (well quick for USCIS) and we all live in GC land happily ever after. The end!! :)

Hi Guys,

I've received a I-797C Notice of Transfer in the mail today. The transfer is dated 03/07/2018 and the address on the envelope was the California Service Center. The notice of transfer states the following:

"We have completed a preliminary review of the application or petition (("your case") listed above. As part of standard processing, we transferred your case to the USCIS office listed below that has jurisdiction for your case. That office will notify you in writing when they make a decision on your case or if they need additional information:

NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER, P{O BOX 648005, Lee's Summit, MP 64064".

Here's a reminder on my case, which is a regular, non-military, non-waiver ROC:

Applied I-751 to CSC. NOA1 February 21, 2017

Biometrics in March 2017 and then nothing until last week.

Applied N-400 online on February 18, 2018.

N-400 NOA1 February 18, 2018

My biometrics appointment is tomorrow (March 13, 2018)

February 25, 2018: I-751 receipt number mysteriously 'activates' with 'We received your case'

February 26, 2018: 'We received your case'

March 5, 2018: 'We received your case' although that update has disappeared out of the history.

March 7, 2018 around 1pm:  I got bombarded with 10 text messages and 1 email saying they had updated my case (I-751 number). My case status changes to:

my_logo.png

Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction

On March 8, 2018, we transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC17XXX, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by April 7, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addre

When I call the automated case checker line it says it's been transferred to CSC????:"

On March 8, 2018 I get another update but it's the same thing.

Anyway, looks like my case is on it's way to the NBC,  and I suspect after that it'll be transferring to my local office. I'm guessing this is for a combo I-751/N-400 interview?

I have a Mis-Infopass tomorrow, so I'll ask and report back.

Best of luck! Keep us posted
