Hello everyone. Have not been on for a while, have to catch up. Got my wife's passport stamped (1 year extension). The clerk in our Boston office seemed in a bad mood (was kind of rude). She said it could be another year, and that my wife may have an interview. We just nodded said thanks and left. She didn't seem to know what she was talking about. My wife also had her biometrics done for N-400 yesterday. Now we wait. Again...

Absolutely, poppy #######!  Sorry don't want to blunt, but not heard so much rubbish in a while.  When they are rude its not good and she was very rude then I would no hesitation to report her.  I know you will get your approval shortly, they need to adjudicate with your N400, if not before.  I am positive you will hear good news shortly, hang on in there.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Thanks to the "report" feature, administrative action has been applied to one participant's account.  Even amidst the horrible tensions of the immigration process, we can disagree without being disagreeable.

Perhaps a relevant note:  During Mrs. T-B.'s own ROC process, I asked an immigration attorney about the prospect of an interview, and he said that a certain percentage of applicants (5%, if I recall) must undergo interviews, by statute.  Ultimately, we were not interviewed.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I wasnt asking or forcing you or them to agree with me, i layed out my thoughts, they replied in a rude way, i like most people have never and will never comment on some bodys thoughts rudely, please disagree all day long as you wish, just dont do it trying to be funny out of ignorance, and thats what those 2 replies were. Thats all i have to say about this matter and ive already said sorry. Any way why is so many intolerant of the idea that there might be interviews coming?. Dont worry eventually approvals follows

I think people are not intolerant of the idea of an interview, some may be scared of an interview, as they may feel they are in trouble or such, others don't want to add insult to injury and have waited far too long. You know my views on interviews for everyone, I don't think they have the manpower, or resources and if I am wrong then I shall tell you am wrong.  It all boils down to the same fact though whichever side of the fence we sit on, time will tell.  Its not going to be a quick solution with which ever way USCIS decide to go as there are hundreds of thousands of ROC applications outstanding.

I knew there was a statutory amount, I thought it was around 10 percent, didnt realise it was less, which is good news for most applicants. :)

Are you guys aware of the fraud level assigned to each case A , B , C ? There is a lot of steps before one gets an interview , it’s not as random as it seems , it’s actually a LOT random lol

I think most don't like interviews because it's like being interrogated. Maybe you're so nervous you can't think clearly to answer the questions you would have otherwise answered correctly. My husband has only had one interview so far in the whole immigration process which was the interview at the embassy for the K-1. She was a real nice peaceful pleasant lady. So he got lucky there. And she only asked him three easy generic questions. If we could go back in time we would have held off on the N-400 until we got the 10 year card. Because invoking the n400 is basically forcing a interview for ROC. But what's done is done. Not sure if I should continue to check status of ROC if it won't be adjudicated till N-400 is on the table. But checking the status has become almost an ocd.

Scazy, the funniest thing about you is that you actually think you're smart, and that is funny. I would normally bully idiots like u but then again its never a good idea to debate uneducated garbage. You finished high school? What do u do 4a living? Entertain us coz that will confirm why people like u shouldnt be allowed to register on here let alone talk to others. I hate to do this but look at ur first message when u joined the conversation last night and look in the mirror and ask ur self, can that possibly be coming from a person who is respetful of others, educated, polite or at last just knows how  not to be an embarrassment. So many people replied to my guess, but all were normal people having a conversation, except u. even e.barny didnt stink as u did

Another day another lol with you mister. If you got offended by me explaining you on examples why your theory doesent make sence in a normal dialog way, than it's awesome, cause people who gets offended should be offended. You have a major growing up to do, I bet  your USC spouse already told you so. Breathe in, breathe out.

Hello everyone!

No news on my end, hoping that someone else will have good news today!

I saw all the commotion going on in here last night and thought to myself, boy this used to be the most friendly, uplifting, drama free forum in the vj community.

I'm glad it's over, :dancing:...now, back to being supportive and funny even when we don't see eye to eye.

😳 it's like 5th update already? So weird! But this status honestly looks more legit the way it's written : they transferring case to another cervice center rather than mass transfer to backed up local office.

Btw, when I changed my adress, I got a letter from ... Texas cervice center ! And my case is in Cali and my state is far from Texas.
