No not yet, although a few people in the past few months have mentioned lobbying congress. You know what, I am normally quite passive, but I can understand the resentment/upset and such that it wouldnt surprise in the future if this actually happens.  They cant continue indefinitely with such long wait times that only seem to be getting longer and longer. That's why I feel that I am sure someone in authority will be addressing this not just for the petitioners but also for the staff. Imagine going into work every day and this endless pile just gets bigger and bigger with no respite. I must admit I do feel sorry for the staff at VSC and CSC. They can only do so much, they aren't computers.  Hmmm. :(

I can imagine processing case everyday and knowing there are still tons of cases that they need to process. It's a none stop work for them. I guess it would be better if they will hire and train additional people as contractor to speed up the process.

Beside, applications to them were not free so  might as well to add and train.

I did that once, went to Dublin with my husband last year, then I flew on to England to baby sit my cat there, when my son went to Japan. My husband flew home alone and I did a couple of weeks later. Only in reverse from you.  Didn't get secondary that time as I went through border control at Dublin. However, whenever I fly to Philly without a physical GC I always get secondary. bah. :(

What happens at the secondary?

Was this person a tier 1 by any chance?  Just that they don't have access to certain systems and probably say whatever to get you off the phone and not have to transfer you.

Well, I couldn´t resist and called USCIS this morning - just for the heck of it. Tier 1 was reading very well her screen and was obviously in a hurry to get rid of me. I asked for the possibility for Tier 2 and she said that they don´t have any more info than her. Yeps, after dealing with them for years I know the game and got more determined and ASKED for a call back of Tier 2.

After 6 hours finally they just called me back. Info: case still in CA, still within processing time (I am a CSC May 2017 filer) and she can´t see any update in my account (those Feb. 25th and 26th transfer updates) and she does not have any idea why my account tell me that. She claimed that cases get transferred to local offices for interviews but that wasn´t in my case. So I asked again and again what she thinks why their computer is telling us the transfer info but she repeated that she does not see any of those update messages, case still is at CA and still in processing time and after she got fed up with me grilling her about it she was suddenly in a hurry as well to get rid of me LOL....Oh well....So I think what actually happens at USCIS and the status update are not syncronized and the case update is not the truth to go by.

I think we should all call...10 times a day until they post an official statement about this!

I had my n-400 online application 100% filled and ready. Including attachments. I just had to pay and hit submit. I stopped just because I didn't want to reschedule my biometric appointment etc. Sad that I wouldn't be joining you guys N-400 Feb filers guild. I'll be a visitor every now and then though. :) Hopefully March, i'll be in.

I was in Dublin last year for my biometric appointment and I rescheduled. Now the officer who did my bio metrics, told me I didnt really have to rearrange I could miss the appointment and still walk in for up to 90 days. I guess he must know as he is there every time I go for my bio appointment.  Any way no worries, I shall be popping into March filers as I am on the border line, last day of Feb. No doubt I will be popping into April, Jan etc. That is when we get a definitive answer for these supposed transfers, so I can leave you guys knowing that you will have your approvals shortly, until then I am going nowhere.

Well they reckon they put up the fees to hire new staff, obviously though the new staff still need training as we know the immigration process can be quite complex.

Well she just told an untruth in that text. JeanneSs case was transferred, it was approved the same day and it came from the field office, no interview!!

@ Shell: what could I expect at a secondary?

You know not all people with a stamp get one, just happens I do. Perhaps they like my company? Perhaps its just the airport I fly into?  I don't know, but I know my directions to the office, they said follow me, I said no need I know my way.  You sit there like a dork for around 20 minutes, 10 if youre lucky, while they stand behind a desk looking at computer screens. Its eerily quiet and there are normally other people sat down waiting too. Then they call you to the desk and say ok you can go now.  Have a nice day!
