Thankyou Shell20 for the quick reply. I did talk to them, and the lady said to wait 90 more days.

Online the case seems to be transferred to the local office, however the agent on the phone said that is not the case. So its still at VSC, waiting in line to get approved.

I am planning to go ahead and get the I-551 stamp asap.

I'm a Feb 2017 VSC filer (applied 2/13/17) and am still waiting for approval.  According to USCIS website, my case was sent to my local office.  But the date changed. Originally it was as of Feb 28, but this morning it was updated to say as of March 5. So who know what's really going on....

I plan on calling them this week to see if they can provide any clarity.

Hi everyone. I checked 3 hours ago and it still said case received at local office on Feb 26. I just checked again just now and it's changed to March 5th just like everyone else.

Same for me... One question, did you received an email notification about this update? I signed up for email and mobile alerts but for this change (feb 28 to march 5 th) I didn't receive any status update...

Also, did anybody traveled with the stamp?

Good luck with that!! Clarity, I don't think they will give any clarity unfortunately. One person will say one thing, the next another, unless they have all had a briefing to say nothing.  People ask is it a virus? That's the million dollar question.  Personally, I think they are up too something, but what I am not sure. I know that the approvals before case transfers do not get this message, so they have or the computer system has isolated the cases that have not been approved. Why they have or the computer has, well I am clueless. Why it keeps changing dates and such, again clueless. Why it does it at different days and times, again clueless.

If I was a guessing person or a person with authority working at the USCIS. I would hold a meeting and say that we have a problem with an 18 month wait in some cases for ROC, what can we do to address this?  What have we done in the past? In the past when it probably wasn't as bad as the delays then, cases were transferred. However, you are talking of hundreds of thousands of cases, which simply cannot be done overnight. Thats my guess to all of this.

Doubt you will receive an update and the reason why, is I don't think we are meant to use that number, however if we are not then really I don't know why they put two case numbers on the letters.

I am going to travel on 23rd march.. a long haul flight abroad. On the way out I'll be alone. On the way back, I'll have my citizen family (spouse, kids) accompanying me.

Question for VSC Filers in February: Have all members received their approvals for Feb 2017, VSC Filers?

Our case was received on February 23rd and we have still not received an approval letter/notification.

I do see that alot of the members have received their approvals already. Was wondering if there are members here that filed in the same time frame as I did at VSC and did not.

Thanks!

@teamsomour is a VSC feb filer, still waiting.

No not yet, although a few people in the past few months have mentioned lobbying congress. You know what, I am normally quite passive, but I can understand the resentment/upset and such that it wouldnt surprise in the future if this actually happens.  They cant continue indefinitely with such long wait times that only seem to be getting longer and longer. That's why I feel that I am sure someone in authority will be addressing this not just for the petitioners but also for the staff. Imagine going into work every day and this endless pile just gets bigger and bigger with no respite. I must admit I do feel sorry for the staff at VSC and CSC. They can only do so much, they aren't computers.  Hmmm. :(

I saw that! Well a letter in your hand is better then a case update (from a tool that we don't know if we can trust).

I did that once, went to Dublin with my husband last year, then I flew on to England to baby sit my cat there, when my son went to Japan. My husband flew home alone and I did a couple of weeks later. Only in reverse from you.  Didn't get secondary that time as I went through border control at Dublin. However, whenever I fly to Philly without a physical GC I always get secondary. bah. :(

Right, sometimes I wonder if I log in they are going to print a message instead of seeing case received, Happy Monday or such!  Wouldn't surprise and April 1st isn't far away!

I had my n-400 online application 100% filled and ready. Including attachments. I just had to pay and hit submit. I stopped just because I didn't want to reschedule my biometric appointment etc. Sad that I wouldn't be joining you guys N-400 Feb filers guild. I'll be a visitor every now and then though. :) Hopefully March, i'll be in.
