Ok thanks for updating us.  Hopefully there will be news this week and things will start moving. I mean 18 months for CSC its a joke!   They need to do something as the backlog will just start increasing if they dont deal with it and what can they do? Thats right, transfer files to field offices!! :)

Hopefully we'll hear something by Friday. Maybe a psychic can help us? lol

I had a legit nightmare last night about this whole process.  I dreamt that we got an RFE notice, but we didn't get it in time to respond/provide evidence. I woke up so anxious and sweating!!

I reluctantly checked our case today and using the biometrics receipt number I saw that our case was received at my local office as of March 5th. However, when I checked last week, it said the same status but as of Feb 28th. So the date was changed from Feb 28 to March 5.  VSC filer, no N400 submitted.

I just wish USCIS would explain what is really happening!

I'm sorry to hear that. They're really killing us with so much mystery.

Wowwwww. I saw that there some changes so I decided to check my status and mine was also changed. Yesterday it read Feb 26 sent to local office. Now it reads March 5. Urgh. What’s going on here 🤷🏽‍♀️

Also. Am I going crazy but does the website now read that they are processing sept 2016?

How long does the I551 stamp extend the green card for?

Youre not going crazy, I was tired last night thought it was the wrong date, but yep its Sept 2016, 18 months processing time, minus probably 2 months as they are 2 months behind on figures. Its a joke!!!  The i551 stamp is different for different offices, some give them for 6 months, some for a year, at this rate they will be stamping them for five years. I am sure they are sick of appointments for stamps due to delays.  And no idea whats going on, I went to go into my account for N400 and it keeps saying we sent you a password and no password arrives. I guess at least they are messing with systems all across the board. :(

You know. I don’t mind the wait. What I mind is the extra money we all spent to get this process started as well as having to go get a stamp which I am sure won’t extend the green card 18 months (which means more trips to get another stamp). Urgh!

have u called to request an update on ur green card? Why it hasn’t been sent out as yet?

Are you guys CSC ?

Nope VSC, and our approvals were on 14 and 20th of Feb, still waiting on an update for mine, as my status says case received.

Well its the fact they put the fees up and I read in a report yesterday it was to hire more people. Fair enough if the processing times speed up, but they went backwards at one point last year. And yes its gas/ petrol money to go 2 hours away and 2 hours drive back for a stamp, but its not just that, its time my husband has to take off work to drive me there. We realise that we probably have to go there 3 times this year, which is fair enough for biometrics, interview and hopefully Oath ceremony. That we can understand, however him taking time off for a stamp is what annoys me. I tell you why it annoys me. My husband only gets around 2 weeks off each year  and we want to share our time with our blended family. My son gets married in May in England and his son graduates from the Navy, so he has to rush to England for a long weekend and not a week as I would want. Then he has to rush to South Carolina for another long weekend.. Our time together is precious, his time off work is precious and I551 if processing times are in a timely manner or unnecessary unless its in an emergency!  Ill get off my soap box now! Lol :)
