Yeah a transfer was done on the 12th Feb, 1-129 from California to Texas if memory serves me correct. Just tongue in cheek with me, as USCIS aren't going to be competing in the Olympics for speed, any time soon! :)

Yeah the Easter Bunny! Oh and don't forget St Patricks Day, Leprechauns and gold at the end of the rainbow!! Ha ha ha!   Seriously, sometimes USCIS give me a huge laugh, especially when they seriously mess up as they have with the case status update  that was posted today!  I nearly spat my cup of tea out.  I don't know where I will get my giggles from when I finish the journey, oh yeah I can come back on visa journey for my daily anecdote. :)

I'm trying to understand why have two receipt numbers. And why hide some updates in one that used to not work. They must have had it planned. It's like a game.

Also when they transfer your case they are meant to mail you out a notice as well. I guess thats how we will find out if the local office statuses are legit or not.

I am absolutely puzzled to get to any kind of conclusion from this latest transfers. At least USCIS should issue an official statement. If it's a glitch or new policy they should come out and tell everyone. If it's a glitch than USCIS employees should hold their heads in shame for not clarifying it because so many people reported it. Well, we shall see

the first receipt number it is the one that they generated for your I751  that means if it  accepted or rejected and second one it's the one that let us check any updated on our case..something like that she (L2) told me this morning... my english is not too good.. sorry

As @corvusheart  has just mentioned and I was about too, as I had a light bulb moment.   We shall know when they get their approval letters, mine said it was  from Vermont, still no update on my online status though. If the guys who are actually now in processing it looks like it did go to the field office, as Vermont seem to have a problem with the buttons on their computers to say approved, produced or any of the long list.  I doubt its a glitch, very much doubt it. Why they have two case numbers is probably to do undercover operations, like update our case statuses! LOL.   I am staying on the positive side, we know there is moment with the secret number as a couple of approvals and production of cards. Hopefully tomorrow someone might get that approval letter and then we will know if its from the field office its not a glitch.  :)

Well for case transfers they will send a notice as well that's another way we'll know if it's legitimate.
