As  E Bayan says, don't worry it just means they are trying to get rid of the back log and sending files that are outstanding to local field offices to be adjudicated, probably electronically, well I assume so as it would cost a fortune in mail charges.  It means your local office will now adjudicate your file and that you should hear some news sooner rather than later. It means that things are moving and I have to chuckle to myself as I have said for weeks now that CSC will play catch up and things will start moving! :)

thanks shell! I hope so and congratulations on your GC :)

I checked again my case number and it changed again case was transferred to local office on 2/27/2018 before was 2/25/18 I don't know what is going on with this

Maybe those are the dates it was sent out then received. On a different thread which talks specifically about this current event going on someone called up USCIS officer and they said it's because of the backlog at CSC. Even ROCs that are new and submitted a few months ago are being sent out to local offices.

Good morning/afternoon everyone!!  Well what can I say this time other than I doubt I need to be around much longer as it seems there are going to be mass approvals. I am thrilled, excited  so many things. I hope someone is keeping track updating the approvals. I would if I knew how too.  As for the USCIS of course they wont tell you whats going on, they probably wait for coffee break and sit back with a biscuit reading your confusion!  Got to love them, don't you!   Any way everyone good luck with the rest of the week, its one exciting week coming up!  :)

Good morning everyone,

How long does it take to get the card after the case has been approved? My husband was approved on Feb. 6th and no green card yet... sigh.

Around 2 to 3 weeks. They dont rush.  Do you have informed delivery to keep an eye on it?  They dont even seem to update their systems to let you know its on the way, which I think its a huge security issue, as how can you know if its arriving and look out for it? Ive seen my bank cards/credit cards get to me more securely to be honest.

Great news, although trust me the waiting when you are nearer the post is harder and Ive no idea why it is, I guess you think today it will be here, as they don't update their systems to say youre approved!  Even so this is excellent news for everyone and I am over joyed! :)

Thank you!

This is a never ending story.

Hi Daneisy,

I was approved on Feb 5th and I only received the card in the mail last Friday (Feb 23rd), my status online only changed last night Feb 26th! I received text messages and an email from USCIS informing me they already mailed and delivered the card. I am sure your card is on its way, be patient! I was also very frustrated when it took so long but keep calm, it eventually will come! If you have informed delivery check the package section as it will not show as a regular letter. Good luck!

I do have this picture of them doing that, especially when they don't change anyones status or hide the new status. I bet they hid it in the other number to see how intelligent we are, probably took bets on it too! Lol
