Congrats Shell!!!!! My friend was right. It's coming soon. I thought you were AT CSC. Did they transfer case to Vermont? Was it in informed delivery???

Thank you! I have never been at CSC, it stayed at Vermont for a whole year and yes it was in informed delivery although I didn't look at it before I received my mail I looked afterwards and its there as a piece of mail and not a package as it has been for others.  Just booked a table to a nice restaurant to celebrate. :)

Oh and in reply to your other post regarding posting your application for N400, I would say not. I think it will delay things, ROC and your N400. I also think with it being USCIS the site will be very secure for national security among st other considerations.

Did anyone here send their ROC application with a copy of the tax return instead of the tax transcript from the IRS?

I know that it's better to send the tax transcript but on the instructions manual it says we can choose to submit the tax returns or the tax transcript.

So I decided to submit the tax return along with other evidence like leases, joint insurance etc. I'm afraid I might get an RFE though because I chose the tax return. Did anyone choose to submit tax returns and was approved without an RFE?

I asked my husband and we sent with a tax transcript. However, there is so much we were unable to send, we had no joint lease, no joint utility bills and we still got approved without the RFE. Did you send a cover letter to explain why?  We did and I didn't go into personal details as regards why we didn't, I just said for personal reasons we do not have a joint lease/mortgage, utility bills.  I am sure you will be OK and I hope some one can give you a definitive answer.

I sent:

Last 2 years of tax returns

2 joint leases

2 letters of affidavit

Joint car insurance

About 10 pictures

2 years of bank statements showing joint account

Copies of 2 joint credit card accounts

That was about it

I didn't send a cover letter because the instructions manual said either one or the other.

Hi there, you don't have to get worried about anything. You sent what you have and I believe it is enough. I also sent tax return with my application without tax transcript. I will send tax transcript and tax return both for my naturalization application, regards.

You know what Im going to go for it tomorrow, see if it allows me to upload the letter, it may delay it by a month or so, it may not, but I can share my experiences for other people who find themselves in this dilemma.  I will let you all know how it works out. :)

Congratulations honey - I'm so pleased for you.

Do not apply for your N-400 until you get the 10 year green card. We know ... for a fact ... that immigration systems do not talk to each other - that's indisputable. How many times have we heard Tier 2 officers say 'I can't see anything about (for example) you being called for interview, even though people have received interview letters and actually attended interviews. We also know - for a fact - that the I-751 application system (MFAS) does not update other immigration systems because it's so antiquated.

So, if thats the case for the N-400, the officer looking at your naturalization application might say, oh look, Shell has uploaded an I-551 stamp - clearly she hasn't had her I-751 approved. In that case, let me just put this file into the I-751 pending pile ... pending dungeon ... pending 6 month delay.

Maybe that will happen - maybe not. But for the sake of not hitting the Submit button for an extra 5 to 7 days, I'd eliminate any risks. Wait for the card to come, scan it and submit your N-400 on the same day.

Love you x

Thanks @Derwood  for your advice and you know I love you too! We met on AOS and have since been true friends on each other's facebooks and you know I trust you implicitly.  I went out for a meal tonight to celebrate, I  wont submit tomorrow. As you know I have other demons to conquer right now. You know my woes since this journey began, you know the reason I did not have joint bills or mortgage and lately you know my deepest, sadness secret I will NOT hit that submit button tomorrow. It doesn't matter, a couple of weeks. Again love you. x

You had a lease, you had joint car insurance, you had joint credit cards. I had none of this. Honestly, I sent the cover letter to say I did not have these and I was fine, so think how much better you are.  However, its not just about evidence, most ROC interviews are about, apart from random ones have red flags, with age, living apart and such. Do you fall into this category? I doubt it.  RFE's I should imagine are requests for simple things like tax returns, not how they are sent and really minor things. Please try not too overthink, you should be fine, you have more co-habitating, joint finance than I. :)

Hi there, it does not speed up the process. In fact, if your case is in normal processing the USCIS tell the congressman or congresswoman that the applicant is within the regular processing time frame. If the case was outside of normal processing and the applicant hasn't heard anything from USCIS then the congressional inquiry is pretty helpful to deal with USCIS and they respond promptly. This is based on the VJ applicants feedback.

Thank you! Much appreciated!

Hi everyone. I have a question; how can you check regarding the status of the green card. Every time I checked my husband status at the USCIS website it only say this:

Case Was Received

On February 21, 2017, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number XXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 23, 2017, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Thank you. I will do that. It gets soo frustrating waiting for the VSC to approve our cases. I hope everyone will get the green card soon.
