O Boy I might hear something in few months which would be for my naturalization. I am out of the ROC race since I am CSC applicant. I would be filing in 3 weeks :)

Yeah, I think its probably the best if you are able/can/want to file for N400. I will start mine tomorrow but not submit until I get my card in the post. I am going to listen to @Derwood  and you, although I was counting down the hours to press that button, best wait for the 10 year card in the mail. However, I can prepare all other documents. :)

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

Does anyone have experience with congressional inquiries? If my congressman asks USCIS about my case, does it speed the process up or no?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, it does not speed up the process. In fact, if your case is in normal processing the USCIS tell the congressman or congresswoman that the applicant is within the regular processing time frame. If the case was outside of normal processing and the applicant hasn't heard anything from USCIS then the congressional inquiry is pretty helpful to deal with USCIS and they respond promptly. This is based on the VJ applicants feedback.

This is a pretty cool idea because it won't cause any confusion regarding your application and you can start working on the form. In all honesty, when you get your GC just scan it and attach to your saved application and press that sacred button.

I hate to change the convo from ROC to N400, although it is still ROC as its about waiting for my card. I wonder if I could just submit a copy of my approval letter and take the 10 year card with me?

I have news I want to share with you guys first. Today I went to my mail box about five minutes ago and there was an approval letter dated 20 Feb from the Vermont center/centre.

Congratulations Shell! You must be feeling overpowered with joy and relief today! :)

I think you should wait until you get the actual green card before applying to naturalization. I think with the new card there is less of a risk of any delay.

You could do that  Wait Wait Wait let me think... I forgot to mention you don't need to wait for your GC since you are filing online. There is an option where they will ask you to submit evidence if they require it or you could send or attach documents later after your application submission. Hmmm It would be ideal to get someone's feedback who did it already but there is an option you could add documents when you submit your application online. Since we are days apart in our application I believe we might be naturalized at the same time or closer.

Thank you!!  I feel happy, although I seemed to have another run in with someone today. I try to avoid conflict. I tend not to write negative comments as not to upset people.  An way back to the N400 application, when people who are awaiting their ROC application upload their 2 year card, does it delay their application. I guess what I am saying is I was going to apply tomorrow, if my letter had not arrived today I would have applied with the 2 year card. Does it delay or is it delayed when they have to ask for the file from the service centre?

Yeah I think sending attached documents later sounds more like a plan. I could upload the letter and say I am awaiting on the card and send it later.

You could do that too. But even if you don't submit the letter I'm sure they're able to see in their system whether your ROC is pending or has been approved. The thing is that we don't even get to keep the 10-year green card for too long because we have to surrender it at the oath ceremony. If at least all cases were approved within 6 months you'd be able to have it a lot longer.

At the oath ceremony I wonder if you have to return both the conditional and the permanent GC

You know what Im going to go for it tomorrow, see if it allows me to upload the letter, it may delay it by a month or so, it may not, but I can share my experiences for other people who find themselves in this dilemma.  I will let you all know how it works out. :)

I can't say with certainty that applying with the 2-year GC may cause a delay, but I would eliminate any possibility. They might ask to pull a file from somewhere else since they don't have a picture of your 10-year GC. We don't know what happens inside USCIS so who knows. I wouldn't take the chance after all you waited all this time. You should receive your new GC in the next few days or week. :)

There's an option there called "other documents" so you can use that.

Cool thanks for that heads up. I guess I now need to start looking at the N400 forum. However, I will not leave the ROC forum as I going to be here each day waiting for approvals for my friends on here. :)

Congrats Shell!!!!! My friend was right. It's coming soon. I thought you were AT CSC. Did they transfer case to Vermont? Was it in informed delivery???
