That would be applicable here if it was a case of self defense. The shooter has not confirmed that yet, nor the police. Do you have any source confirming it was self defense?

The doxxing however was not self defense and still represents a danger hence the extreme bans on doxxing forums and websites.

Do you have any source confirming it wasn't? Like I already stated it appears King County just might be leaning that way since they released the alleged shooter after deciding he poses no apparent threat to the public. I'd also like to add King County isn't  quite as consrvative as Ft. Lauderdale.

Nope. But I don't have any source confirming it was self defense, so it remains so.

What has being conservative or not got to do with King Country? I was merely mentioning that sometimes police let people let go, not necessarily the right action. Their leaning whatever way may or may not be self defense.

But the doxxing was dangerous. Curious you seem to keep ignoring that radical right have been indulging in doxxing in large numbers.

I think people saying the first article is self defense are similarly judging a little quick. The article actually doesn't really provide much information. It doesn't even say that the shooter is claiming self defense. It says he was surrounded by protesters. Is there any evidence that they were violent? Just having lots of protesters around doesn't necessarily mean it was self defense if there were no actual threats to him. We need more information. It seems like no charges will be placed though, as long as there is a "dialogue" or however the victim put it. Maybe they'll sit around a fireplace and play guitar.

You can watch the video here:

I think it clearly shows that the shooter was in a scuffle with multiple protestors with even more converging when the gun went off. looks like a clear cut case of self defense to me. ymmv

Ah didn't notice a video was around. What does ymmv mean by the way?

EDIT: Ya that dude with the "Red line sign" was definitely aggressive. While I'm not sure shooting was necessarily to defuse the situation, in the heat of the moment with a gun in a holster I could see how it happened. In all seriousness hopefully they do meet up and actually talk about it.

ymmv = your mileage may vary

He was aggressive and the rest of the crowd was closing in. I can definitely see how the guy felt his life was in danger.

Ya, though it wasn't exactly clear to me how many of the "rest of the crowd" were trying to stop the conflict vs. push the red guy on. It kind of looked like the person flinging a bag was flinging it towards the red guy. Can't really tell. I don't know if sound helps, I'm on mute in my office.

I'm not sure that was a bag being swung, looked like a ladies scarf or something, and I think the guy with the yellow hat was the one swinging it just before the shot went off.

doesn't matter if he shot him in "self defense"
