Marriage or Fiance Visa? Casablanca

Hello Guys/Gals,

I'm a US citizen, originally from Morocco. I'm 48 years old and I've been in the States for over 20 years. I've known this girl for about 3-4 years. She's much younger than I'm (she's 25 years old). I have also met her (and her family) in person 3 times in Morocco.. We're in love, and now I want to move fwd and bring her over to the States. I've read different stories/experiences on this site and others. Some say that Fiance Visa is usually faster. Others say it's becoming more difficult in Casablanca and takes about the same time as the standard filing "after marriage". Given the difference in age, I've read that the age factor alone will be a red flag, if not an automatic denial. As such, I'm  reaching out to this site's members asking for your candid opinion on whether or not I should proceed with the K1 visa process/route or should I directly marry her in Morocco then file for her immigrant visa, instead. Also can someone please shed some light on whether filing for a K1 visa first, which could/may eventually get denied, will cause delays if we decide to go the "marriage route" later on... iow, once a K1 visa is denied, is there a period of time where my fiance cannot even apply for entry to the US in any form or shape...

Thank you so much!

Personal question about faith?

if not Muslim then I suggest proceed with K 1 visa.   I was told specific do not marry in a foreign country!!! It dose take longer that way !!

i have proof . And the age difference is not a red flag 48-25 is ok.   I'm 54-33 so you and I are basically the same age difference to our fiancé.       The K-1 process for us was 66 days for the first part at USCIS

good luck on your journey

Your age difference doesnt automatically mean you will get a denial. It may be a "red flag" but if it is the only "red flag" try not to worry. Do what you want to do. You have proof of relationship, plenty of face to face time, same cultural and religious backgrounds, I would think you have a strong case in and of your own. If you want to get married sooner, do the CR1. If you want to be together in the US sooner, do the K1. It depends on what you are looking for. There are benefits and downfalls to either one. There are guides on here to decide which is best for you.

Thank you so much for boosting my confidence level! We're both worried and anxious, but we're very serious about our relationship and want to be with each other sooner rather than later. As you may have guessed from my age, I was married for 20 years+. Our kids are all grown ups and we've decided to part ways. My fiancee has been patient and stood by me for the past 4 years and now that my divorce is final, I want us to start our life together sooner rather than later. We can't wait to be together. I'm planning another quick trip to Morocco in the next few months to formally get engaged and hold an engagement party...Oh one more thing, my fiancee's English isn't that great :( She's been going to English learning centers for the past 2 years and have been an avid watcher of American movies :) but she still struggles a bit, specially in manning a conversation. Moreover, her French isn't up to snuff either. So we were wondering if she should retain services of an "approved translator" or does the consulate offer their own, if requested. Any other advice/tips are always greatly appreciated.Thank you again!
