Hello there,

Putting together the I-130 packet for my wife so she can make the eventual move over to the States.

A quick about us: I am a naturalized US citizen and she is Canadian. Currently we are living in New Zealand and will be mailing our application from here. Using my parents US address as my permanent residence though to avoid complications.

I think I have the packet ready and just wanted to double check if I was missing anything.

- Table of contents.

- Cover page.

- My(current US citizen) naturalization certificate.

- Details page of my US passport.

- Copy of marriage certificate.

- G325A forms for both of us.

- I-130 form.

- Passport photos for each of us.

- Details of joint bank account with a seal from NZ bank.

- 4 affidavits from friends/family.

- Check for $535 USD

Does this seem about right, am I missing something?

Do I need to add in my birth certificate if I was not born in the US? And do I need to add in the page with my passport details?

Thanks in advance! This website has been so handy during this whole process.

no need to send in passport

one proof of citizenship is enough, or you send copy of US passport or you send a copy of your citizenship certificate

do you have anything else to prove bona fide marriage? send a few pictures of you two together

Will do.

Sending in 4 different affidavits of support, joint bank account details and 6 photos from different years we've been together(with varying lengths of hair).

Thanks.

I don't think that affidavits of support means the way you think it means.  That's the I-864

What is it supposed to mean?

This is right off the I-130 itself:

Quote

I. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship. (Each affidavit must contain the full name and address, date and place of birth of the person making the affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner of beneficiary, if any, and complete information and details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge of your marriage); or

Ok, Think the packet is final:

- Cover page/ Table of contents.

- My(current US citizen) naturalization certificate. (copy)

- Copy of marriage certificate.

- G325A forms for both of us.(original signed)

- I-130 form.(original signed)

- Passport photos for each of us.(name written in pencil on the back)

- Details of joint bank account with a seal from NZ bank. (copy)

- 4 affidavits from friends/family.(copies)

- Check for $535 USD

- Photographs of us together.

Final questions to verify:

I should be sending this to the Chicago dropbox, correct?(I am currently in New Zealand)

What shipping method should I use? Something with tracking?
