I don't think my post mentioned anything about agreeing with his views.  I was only commenting on the opinion you gave regarding his doing this for the money.  That is something those on all sides do.

you mentioned 'alt left' doing the same thing, speaking tours for money. i was just pointing out that to my knowledge, there isn't any 'alt left' giving speaking tours about the benefits of oppressing women. if conservatives/gop don't think there's any sort of merit toward what he's saying, don't defend him. his first amendment rights are most certainly still intact.

I'm well aware as I have been the subject of the moderation on a number of occasions already

 

Though I think when you say "You are acting like an X" where X is something insulting, it is probably safe to say that is a personal attack. Even though you aren't saying the person is one, you are still saying they are "acting" like one. If I said "You're acting like an a**hole", that would likely be considered a personal attack.

 

I just think we should all try our best to avoid them. I know I've fallen off the wagon in the past and been punished for it, but I just think the discussions end up better when we don't make it personal.  I know I'm weird actually wanting good discussions.

Myself and Marvin were told by a former female VJ poster that telling a woman in a classy way that she looks nice is bordering on harassment and not acceptable behavior for a man.

 

Everything is against the TOS, it just matters if someone wants to report it and if one of the mods woke up with an itchy trigger finger.

well, this is probably best a convo for pm but..you can be doing your best not to offend and still get comments deleted or put in time out. just depends on who you're talking to. getting reprimanded here is pretty frustrating, especially when you're just defending yourself as others do.

It's probably just better to turtle and let the offensive poster keep talking down to you rather than pointing out the way they are behaving. Would that be less hypocritical for you?
