winner,

It means that the case officer at the NBC who reviewed the submission believes that the application can be decided without an interview.

lisaf,

I do believe that luck is involved - which case officer and their frame of mind at the time they review the submission.

Note also that the CSC case officer can come to a different conclusion and send the application back to the NBC.

I was just about to comment on that, it explains cases going to CSC then receiving RFE's or being transferred elsewhere. New case officer = new interpretation of evidence.

Does this mean that we are likely likely to receive the greencard say within a week, because an interview is not found appropriate?

A week? No. Even though it supposedly "speeds up" the process, some people waited months after being transferred to CSC. Look at the CSC transfer thread here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...&start=1695

It will give you an idea of how long people had to wait after the transfer.

Our AOS stuff got sent to CSC and we were approved without an interview, the majority of people's cases are, but there are the minority, where they will have an interview or it will get sent somewhere else. Some take a while to get approved, some are very quick, mine got approved very quickly within a few weeks of the notice being sent to us from USCIS saying it had been sent to CSC.

Hope all goes very well in your case!

Good Luck!!
