Administrative processing

my fiancee had an interview on Monday and she was approved and giving a pick up slip at the Lagos us Embassy consulate. i just checked my the ceac.state.gov website right now and this is what i am getting.

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days .

 

what could be wrong . Anyone gone through this before

It's normal.

It means the visa is being processed. It will change to issued when  the visa is fixed on the passport.

Thanks Blondie for the clarification.  The embassy needs to change their choice of words. It scared the s...t out of me

Yeah i've gone throught that  too its just for a day until it turns issued,don't freak out be calm

My fiancés status currently shows the same as yours . Hoping it changes by tomorrow or next week at least .i  Was getting nervous as well.
