So, we've been waiting "in queue" four an appointment since Sept 2016; how much longer is the wait?

Lawyer is taking too long....

NVC says different from what my caseworker says.

Do lawyers work directly with the consulate?

Can people do that? Just a thought.

Please help.

I want to call U.S. Consulate in Juarez to ask if they know about my case.

Maybe NVC didn't have our case.

Thank You.

I'm a bit confused by your timeline.

What does the NVC say when you call?

Also, there is no number to speak to a real person at the Juarez consulate, sorry :( You can only send an e-mail, which takes forever.

alyssa_parra this is the telephone number for the Ciudad Juarez Consulate call center.  When calling from within Mexico 01-656-227-3000 or 01- 656-344-3003, than option 1, 3, 1 & 1 to speak with an operator. Calling from the USA dial 011-52-656-227-3000, or 011-52-656-344-3003 and then option 1,3,1 &1.  Buen suerte!

Ahh, what am I doing wrong?! I've tried every combination of numbers for two months and never reach a real person. I'm going to give this a try again.

If you have your case number, the one starting with the letters "CDJ", you can check the status and see where it is. It would say something like 'At NVC", "In transit" or "At consulate" (or something similar). This is the link:

the nvc states that no movement had been made to our case since June 2014, no fees paid, no docs turned in, and none of the 6 Steps has been completed.

This is what you see on the screen or what NVC told you on the phone?

The screen reads "At NVC", and to follow the "6 steps".

But, over the phone at NVC they tell me none of the fees are paid and no documents have been turned in.

alyssa_parra based on the information you've posted on your 'Visa Journey' timeline, and what you have offered in your initial post, you mention a 'lawyer' and a 'case worker'. I am confused in assessing what information I can offer or provide you, due to the fact that if you have retained an immigration 'lawyer' to adjudicate your Immigration Visa process that would be the person to talk with/contact as to why none of the fees have not been paid, and why NVC does not have your documents. In your timeline you have indicated that your AOS and IV bills were paid November 21, 2014. If you paid those fees yourself, and/or if you had a lawyer handle and pay these two seperate fees, an invoice should have been either emailed or send snail mail to your or your beneficiary. Did you pay for these with a credit card? If so there should be a record on a billing statement. If you sent a cashiers check, money order or personal check you hopefully made and have a photocopy that you kept.  I find it difficult to believe that NVC would have sent you the letter dated December 28, 2016 if the fees had not been paid in full. My suggestion at this point i time would be to call NVC and ask to speak to a Supervisor to obtain clarification on the payment of the AOS and IV fees.  Buen suerte!

Its the lawyers helper or "associate" is what their probably called.

First, all was paid in cash to the associate. The lawyers fees, i130, IV or VI, affidavit, and medical exam fee for Juarez....

Yet, the NVC has none of the above.

I called a director at NVC but they transferred me to the public line.
