I can't find any answers on this and it's stressing me out!

Our case just completed at the NVC about a week ago. Instead of NVC scheduling our interview, though, we have an approved expedite through the consulate, so our papers were sent to CDJ immediately and supposedly they will be contacting us to schedule an interview (actually, I heard they will be sending us an e-mail instructing us to schedule an appointment just like the K-visa applicants.

As of yesterday, our papers arrived, and the CEAC case status says "Ready" (which I attached below).

Does anyone know how long after your case status changes to "Ready" will we receive an e-mail so we can schedule the appointment?? I tried to register us but got an error saying the case isn't ready :(  I assume it's going to be the same amount of time as K-1 visa members experienced so if you have any input, please let me know!

Thank you in advance!

Hola afortunada!  Sign up and create an account on this website = https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv, and check this website daily [or several times daily] until it indicates that you're eligible to to select an interview date. Important to know that once your eligible for an interview date. the Consulate may not have released a new block of dates [the website will show no dates available], and you'll need to keep checking until those new dates show up on the website.  Buen suerte!

Thank you so much! I had created an account but it wouldn't let me continue. Sure enough, I tried again as per your suggestion, and now we're allowed to continue!! The dates are greyed out for now, just like you said, but I'll be sure to keep checking multiple times a day. Thanks again for being so helpful!!

Did you schedule an interview this way, too?

Yes we did. I suggest and recommend at this juncture you become 'overtly' proactive, and check the website numerous time each date as the Consulate Ciudad Juarez will never advise you as to when they open up and post additional appointment dates for scheduling.  And once the appointment dates are updated and posted, and become available on the scheduling website it is on a 1st come, 1st booked/served basis. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you.

I'm waiting for an interview with for wife at Juarez, but each time I register, someone else already takes it. Let me tell you what I know from my experience:

On the AIS website, you'll have to check near the middle and the end of each month. At the end of January, several February appointments popped up. Last Friday (Feb. 17), March dates opened up from March 2 all the way to March 17. Then, just yesterday, Juarez opened up appointments for the latter half of March, from March 13 to March 27. During these final days of February, you'll occasionally find sporadic single dates available, but be quick, as others are also checking the website, and the interview dates get taken really, really fast.

These appointments are for the interview at Juarez.

Hi all! Our I 129F petition was approved a few days ago. My question is, do I have to wait until the case appears as Ready at the NVC website in order to schedule the interview and biometrics? Can I schedule my interview before that? How long did the  Confirmation letter took to arrive by mail?

Thanks in advance!

Hi! Our case got approved on April (NOA2 Apr 21st) NVC sent us an email saying that the case was redirected to CD Juarez on Apr 15th. By Apr 16th in the morning our case changed "In Transit" an hour after changed to "Ready".

On the letter of the NVC email they will give you a link to follow steps. Among them a link to schedule the interview. You will be redirected to the immigrant appoimtment site. You could get done and send the DS-160 and a day or 2 after your case shows "Ready" the appointment site will enable you than (after create the account) to 1) Pay the Fee and 2) Schedule CAS (Biometrics) and Consular Interview Appointments.

We already did the scheduling and prepare everything but the flights and hotel in CD Juarez since we are waiting for the famous "Embassy Invitation Letter" that we need to receive before attend any of the 3 appointments that are already schedule.

I call the embassy to figure how much time they took to send the letter and they said 2 weeks, but i have heard 2.5 months so i just hope is next week or I'd be traveling to Cd juarez to pick up such letter or figure what to do since embasst told me to just take my Appointments Confirmation Email.

If someone know how long does the Embassy letter take to arrive in 2018 pleae let me know. TIA!

It's been 15 months that my husband has been in the US with me, and we still have not received the "invitation letter." DO NOT WAIT FOR THIS! It will never come! Go ahead and schedule your appointments online, then go a few hours (or a day to be safe, like I did) before your interview and have them print your letter at the information window at the consulate. Again, if you wait, it may never come.

Hi before anything congratulations I'm very glad things went well for you and your husband. The only thing I'd like to know from you is were can I schedule my appointment? On May 1st, 2018 my wife and I received confirmation from NVC that our case was complete and to wait for the good old "invitation letter". My wife was planning in submitting a request for the case to be expedited but now I am debating on wether to do that or schedule the appointment ourselves.. now I don't know were to schedule such. Please help.

it is correct that you need to set up an account on the usvisainfo site and pick a dhl location (if that applies to you) but it is much easier to just CALL the phone line and schedule your date, if you are scheduling through the consulate for an interview. booking online is not accurate at all. the live person will tell you if the calendar is closed at the moment or if they have dates to choose from right away and will set you up. dont just wait for what the website says. its wacky and you could wait way longer then needed. 1-703-249-4628. go through the prompts as to what youre calling about and you will get to a live person. also use this line when you have questions about anything (at the point of interview). we are very familiar with this as we rescheduled our interview date at least 6 times.

also in regards to the appt letter. chances are, you WONT get this in the mail ever. you NEED to have a copy printed at the info window at the consulate. if you dont have one with your current appt date on it, you wont get through any of your appts down there, let alone the interview itself. no asc and sometimes medical wont let you through either. make sure you allow time to get the letter if needed. they have weird hours, closed on wed and usually busy. we learned this the hard way when my husband literally had to get it with one chance, an hour before his first appt. it was madness but he got it.  this is such a huge thing that not everyone knows about until they are sometimes stranded down there without it.

good luck all!
