Yes, now they are... That was a later amendment after the emergency stay. Initially they were included. The wording in the EO concerns aliens which are by definition all non-citizens.

Yeah but it's all fine. Media and people are totally overreacting all this. Many countries have bans for other nationals including those 7 countries mentioned. But that's a whole other story.

As we both have said we'll just have to wait and see what more comes.

Well, on that we disagree :) I happen to think it's not "all fine" to do it in the way they did it. Irregardless of media. That is my own personal opinion.

Yes, there is nothing to do but wait.

There has been no official statement but according to some leaked email there is a plan to implement a hold adjudication on all pending benefits, the email said that work would continue up until adjudication. This is also discussed in the EO itself, but we will have to wait for an official statement on this.

Saudi Arabia is not on the list, are you from another country? (Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen)

This is literally unprecedented. A 7-country ban through an EO placed by a president in office for not even a week that initially impacted permanent residents?

As for other countries having bans, many countries have laws regarding a lot of different things that would be unconstitutional and unacceptable here in the United States. That's not a good threshold for dismissing the legitimate reactions of others as overreacting.

Yes nice to see a President actually doing something I'm just surprised more countries aren't on the list.

And yes I do still believe people are totally overreacting over this issue instead of looking at why these countries can't come in right now since it not a permanent ban. I will never agree on this topic with 90% of people in here also why I stay away from the Trump threads.

for few months, in the meantime backgrounds will

be re-checked for citizens, GC holders & visitors

Some countries will be added and he will be cutting

quotas on hi-tech skilled workers visas also some hotels

andunskilled farm workers, thus some can get off welfare

and get into those jobs foreigners used to come here

to do.These are some of the jobs jobs jobs

Why these countries can't come in right now , do you know why ? These seven countries neither its citizen committed a terrorist attack in any country or killed a US citizen , while there are other countries which are not on the list some of its citizen committed terrorist attack and killed hundreds of USC  . The question now why the countries whose citizen killed American and other nationalities are not on the list , while innocent countries who have domestic political issues are on the list.

Some policies tend to be controversial, but that boat has sailed. The EO is what the EO is; it is the current law of the land while it's legality is debated in the courts.

A lot of those countries have issues with the way they do background checks and so on then other countries have. I'm sure there is more then that also but yes I think more countries should be on the list and they might get added and they might not.

Thought Saudi Arabia would have been on this list

I understand some of the reasons, it is the hate

that spews that makes thing frightening, as humans

we have to have sympathy for others although some

scary things have been done across the world by

fanatics. Many Americans are gripped by fear

and this decision seem fair to them. We are all afraid
