Right now we our claim with NVC. I submitted everything, and paid the fees online, just waiting for a checklist or approval. My question is once we move on to the next stage I am not seeing any new member updates for interviews in Senegal. Does anyone have any recent experience with the Embassy in Dakar. What should be know as we prepare.

Thanks.

Hi fellow member.  My husband had his interview June, 2016. The questions were very straight forward. Unfortunately he was not approved and we are currently in AP. The case was returned to USCIS pending review. All I can honestly say is that this is a tough embassy. From our experience I would recommend that you have a few visits before the interview and submit overwhelming documentation to prove the validity of the relationship.

It seems as though there is no rhyme or reason as to why they would put you into Administrative Processing. I have not heard/seen any clear indication as to how or why you could just move through this embassy process. My plan is to go back when we know we have an interview date scheduled. I am hoping that will help. All so unnerving. Thanks for taking time.

My spouse case was put on AP, she had her interviewed on Dec01 2016. The officer refused to give her visa.  I made an appointed and went to the Embassy on 09Jan17 and spoke directly with the officer.

The officer only said the only thing I could do is wait. When I returned to US, I contacted both the office of my senator and congressman to get casework regarding this issue.

On 03March17 I check the CEAC, and visa was "ISSUED"

So if you can be present at the interviewed it would make a different.  If not, make a appointement online and go talk to them directly. Contact your Senator/congressman. Send plenty of pictures to NVC when submitting your documemts.

I addition I was send them email every two weeks to ask for update. Dont expet them to reply.

Good lucks!
