I had my iv at islamabad consulate. Co asked my wife when would you travel to usa, since she was living with me in pakistan. She said once my husband gets the visa. Both of us will go together. So she asked my wife to submit usa ticket as an intent that she will return to us. My wife asked for both of us. She said yes and you can email tickets. Does anyone had similar experience. TIA

if they asked for ticket so do it for you or for both of you

25/march 2015 Welcome letter received with bar-code letter
05/April 2015 DS 261 Completed
01/April 2015 AOS Fee Paid
10/May 2015 Received letter from NVC for approved my DS 261
18/May 2015 AOS and IV sent....

21 May 2015 Scan date .....received email form NVC on 29 of May

29/May 2015 Sent money order by mail for IV fee

04 june 2015 IV Fee Paid (email from NVC on 10 of June )

22 june 2015 received check list letter from NVC For not filling of ds260 !!!!

25 june 2015 scan date for AOS (check list )

26 june 2015 IV paid

29 july CC

interview by 24 sep email received by 31 of august

It's quite normal for the USC to be asked to prove that they will return to the USA either with or before the alien spouse. I wouldn't worry about it. You haven't been singled out. Since you will be returning together, if won't be an issue to provide the embassy with a copy of the airline ticket status.

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!
