I'm on my 15th week..... T_T

Called NVC this morning to speak to a supervisor but the rep refused to connect me. Told me there's nothing the supervisor could do since they flagged for second supervisor review on Feb 22nd already.

Can they do that? That's just rude! You should try and call back, maybe this time, you'll get a nicer person who will be able to get you to a supervisor!

Just received another text message that today my petition has been sent to the Department of State. About a week after petition approval now, so in about a week NVC should have my petition. PD August 2. I think I will finally be ready to start submitting stuff to NVC in a couple weeks.

Too quiet in here today! Let the CCs start rolling in :D:jest:! Amen!

Come on, where those cc's at?! :P

On my 10th week now. My husband called first thing in the morning Monday and was greeted by a rather grumpy lady who said, "Yeah yeah your case has been sent to supervisor review" after he asked if they have already even pulled out our file from the mailroom. I hope she really means it has been physically sent to the review department when she said that.

Fingers crossed for more good news for everyone this week!

What was the checklist for? That sucks. I hope they pick up where they left off in checking your papers as soon as you pass that missing document (and not have to wait another 8 weeks, god forbid.)

Hello everyone! I have a question about getting a March or April interview:

So I understand that the deadline for the 2016 filing of tax returns is on April 18, 2017 (I stand corrected, I'll confirm with my USC husband). Does that mean that if your interview date falls anytime before that, you won't have to bring your spouse's and/or sponsor's tax documents? Or will they already be asking for that even before the deadline?

Thank you so much!!!

I would like to know more about this too! Does anyone know what are we supposed to bring if our interview date falls around April?

I know, we need CC news bad! :D:D

Called today as well, beginning of 10th week 2. First lady said my case is being actively reviewed as we spoke, (i asked her if it was still in queue or active review). Of course, that got me really excited and i called back and got another rep who told me there was no way he could confirm that piece of info from the system. So yeah, i think many times, they do make up info as they go. I'm very hopeful still though.

For all of you who have a scan date, how long did it take from NVC received the documents and until you got a scan date?

I called Monday morning, they asked me to call back next week to see if our case was updated to show that they received our package or not.

I am not waiting till next week. I think I will be calling every other day until they receive my case. I am not taking any chances. In case they have not updated my case until next Thursday, I am going to ask my wife to contact Congressman and get the update.

Allow atleast 3-5 days, then call nvc if they received the documents, it is best if you could request for delivery information (as suggested to me by a co-filer)

woke up to checklist...

Checklist was for japanese police certificate,

which I called both my lawyer and the NVC and was told it is not necessary to send it to the NVC.

but I need to take it to the embassy directly.

It is a sealed envelope and says it is not valid if opened..

I called the NVC this morning and unfortunately got an extremely rude rep..

She told me now it is necessary and I need to send a photocopy of the certificate...

I will call later and check.. after so many weeks of waiting, getting checklist was my nightmare :(
