Another week of waiting! We are on our 9th week now. My husband just emailed his senator asking to follow up and intervene. In the email we included the senator's privacy release form and our letter explaining our situation.

We are also going to send out actual letters in the mail. If we get no response this week, we are going to go ahead and email the junior senator and my husband's district representative.

Wishing for more CC's for us this week! :D

OMG:jest: I just saw 3 N/As I was very frustrated and did not think I will see 3 N/As. I am currently on the line waiting to confirm with NVC.

- My second scan date 12/01 - Due to missing to sign AOS

- supervisor review Jan 14th ( I called close to midnight as my 6 week mark was after Friday so hint for folks)

- Review Department - Jan 18 (Now as you all know this is the department that does the review, per NVC once your file gets here, it's first come first serve)

- Case Complete - Feb 21 (to confirm as I only saw 3 N/As which is generally indicative of C/C)

I wish the best for everyone else and having earlier folks gets CC means everyone else is getting closer.  It took total of 11 weeks and 2 days very long time indeed.

I just confirmed with NVC that my case is complete :D

They said they are done with March interviews and I will be scheduled for April interviews depending on openings at Nairobi embassy. I have a relative who had to wait 3 months after CC to get an interview slot.

I am wondering if I quality for expedite as my wife is pregnant and I really want her to get medical check up in the US which has better medical system. Please advise. Thank you all.

Hi, I just discovered this forum today after 3 months of frustration waiting for the NVC. I am learning a lot from what to expect.

I just called today after yet another 6 weeks of waiting and was told they don't have a timeline, sounds like I will have to wait indefinitely. My timeline with NVC are as follows:

- Documents received: Nov 15

- Supervisor review: Jan 10

- Review department: Jan 12

Due to personal reasons, my father (the petitioner) needs to come to the US now. He currently resides in Taiwan, so usually he can just visit without a VISA, and just apply for the electronic waiver ESTA. Can anyone enlighten me whether or not he can just come to the US via ESTA?

I had business trip last Dec. before NVC approved my case. It was ok, no question asked (I didn't mention I am running the immigration visa though)

curious~ your father is the petitioner, then that's means he is a US citizen. US citizen is allow to in and out US freely

Hmmm... so when checking my visa application progress, I used to get "At NVC" or something like that. Now, I'm seeing this:

"Action required: Submit requested documents"

(I've already sent the DS-260 and have a scan date) - any idea why it would revert back to this status?

I got the same as you today.  I wonder if its a new way they're doing their system, because that page they direct you to for "track your status" seems to be new and more informative than anything they had before.

I too have submitted everything

Hi! Thank you so much for replying. Good to know that he can still come to the US in the mean time. I guess I got the jargon mixed up. I am the US citizen and he's the applicant? Also, I saw your scan dates and supervisor review dates are later than mine. Congrats for pulling through! I hope this means I hear back from NVC soon as well. Fingers crossed.

I followed the link and it says the following, so I figure i fit under this category. I actually spoke to them last week to confirm my IV and AOS packages had arrived, so I guess it's just a case of waiting.

Here's what it said:

If it has been less than two (2) months since you submitted documents to NVC:

  • You don’t need to take any action at this time. We are still reviewing your documents.
  • Please allow up to two (2) months for NVC to review your forms and documents once we receive both the financial documents from the petitioner and the applicant’s civil documents. You must also have paid the required fees and submitted a DS-260 Immigrant Visa Application online. We will not review your file until we have received all of the above requested items. At that time, we will let you know if there are additional items required or if visa pre-processing is complete.
