I'm reading on the NVC's website, documents for my wife to bring to the interview.  It list the same documents I sent to the NVC for proof of income, along with a competed and signed I864.  I thought all those were forwarded to the embassy by the NVC??

At the least, she should take the signed I-864 AOS that was submitted to the NVC.  If you received 2016 W2's, she should take a copy of that in case they ask for it and if you filed 2016 taxes already, then she should take an updated I-864 with a copy of the 2016 return although these are not necessary since the deadline for filing taxes is in April.

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

Has anyone been able to pay any fees at NVC since Friday?

Today is Federal Holiday and we are still receiving "Database Error". It seems to me that Payment service at NVC is down; unless someone has paid at NVC since Friday Evening.

Guys I just checked my Visa status (CEAC) and after weeks of saying "At NVC", today it changed to "Action Required: Submit Requested Documents".
It starts like this: "On 2016-11-01, the National Visa Center (NVC) received your Form DS-260 (Immigrant Visa Application)." and then it says "Next Steps:" and it lists all the documents that you need to collect and send to NVC (basically the AOS-Support Documents Package). Which of course, we already mailed.

Does this mean they are starting reviewing it? Is it a good sign? It seems like the Visa Status Check page just came back to life after weeks of "At NVC" status. I wonder if it's normal. We didn't receive a checklist email so I don't think it's that.

Hi! Just got off the phone with a rep. and asked about it...she said and I quote "it just means we have not yet reviewed your case" So frustrated! She told me to call back on Wednesday of next week if my case was not completed by the end of business day Tuesday as I would be at the 12 weeks. I asked what happens then and she said "we would take a closer look at your case" I then said but you just said you haven't even looked at my case and to this she replied "mam we have until Tuesday the 22nd if you don't hear from us please give us a call back have a good evening" and she hung up ?!

SCAN DATE 12/6/16

i called 4 different times today so I would get different reps and to see what each one would say about this.  All 4 said the same thing, it will not take my initial packet that was scanned in 12/19 out of queue.  That packet will continue to be processed as it was received.  2 of the reps went further to say that I will probably get a notice to send the w2s to my wife to bring to the embassy for her interview.

@lsu_mike @LilyAR @lbrt

I'm planning on calling tomorrow, as I too have the same message as you all. I was told last Thursday that our documents are in the review department. I can only hope this means that they are finally reviewing the IV application/supporting documents & AOS/supporting documents. Still hopeful, maybe we will all be getting CC soon.

@BethyWink i don't think this will be the case because they usually give check list if in case something is misisng and ask to bring required documents to the interview. Ps couple of other vj members are in the same boat with us. Let's hope for the best??

Once the nvc receive your case it takes about 10 days to get a case number , after you do it's about a week to pay the fees after you send your documents it's taking around 8 to 10 weeks right now to review them, good luck .
