I called today and they gave me the case number and invoice identification, but was told that it will be another 4 weeks before I can chose an agent and pay the invoice!! Is this correct?

I don't believe so, once I had my case #  and IIN, I was able to chose an agent immediately, I filled out the DS-261 and then called after to confirm and provide, phone #'s and email addresses.  I was able to pay the fee's once I filled out the DS-261 on the ceac website.

I am not sure what they mean; it was sent to the mail room, or it is in the mail room? Either way it sounds positive if that means it is being sent out. Unless it means that it is on its way in? Call again and ask for clarification.

Yeah I believe you're right, that I should call back. How he made it sound was as if our case was never moved out of the mail room... ??? Again it sounded completely odd and bogus.

My AOS invoice became available today. I paid it. Hopefully the transaction goes through without any problems. How long do they take to process the transaction?

Mine showed paid two days later.  They say up to 3 days to show that.  Just paid mine end of last week.

For the AOS it took only 1 day, but for IV it took a bit longer because of the weekend.  Also my bank showed my IV payment clear before NVC showed 'paid'.

I believe my AOS processed faster, maybe because the payment was in the beginning of the week. I'm not sure. But usually they say it can take up to 3-5 business days.

@mmadd636 Have you contacted your senator or congressman? I really hope you get CC soon.

@Renegade Let us know how it goes and what their response is. Hoping soon you get CC.

I would but I'm actually abroad with my wife. I suppose I could get someone to send me the privacy form.

Absolutely unacceptable really. Total joke. They take your money and act like no one matters.

I paid mine towards the end of day and called my bank that next morning.  She said that she showed it pending for that night.

Called NVC this morning exactly at 7:00 AM EST,  got a hold of rep within 8 minuets. I called to be sure whether my case was put on supervisor review, as I was told they were going to make this request last Friday. The rep was nice. He confirmed that my case had been requested for supervisor review. He then told me something strange that I have never read from any other VJs here; He said that my case was not being sent to a supervisor that the request is actually to the mail room, so they can find out where my case is, since it has gone past the normal review times. He apologized and said that they had received so much mail at one time and that they are struggling to get through it (that I've heard). He said the request was sent to mail room and then it will be flagged for review. I just never heard anyone mention about once a supervisor review request has been made, that it is actually to the mail room...???  Maybe I'm wrong and someone has mentioned it before, but I found this response kind of strange.

Any thoughts anyone???

Yes, this is my understanding.  The supervisor puts in a request to the mail room to pull your file and send it to the review department.  I am not sure that the supervisor actually reviews your file (I have seen in some cases they do), but it is just to expedite the reviewing time for your case.

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

My 11th week started today too... with a call and its still under review. What's new, the representative asked me to hold for a minute while checking status just after standard questions about case number, date of birth etc. I even thought something changed but no.

By the way, several our friends here were very close to 12 weeks last week. Somebody should hit 12 weeks today or tomorrow. Isn't it? What are our plans?

May be I'm wrong but haven't seen approved cases for a while here. While 2 weeks ago every day somebody was happy last days no good news reach this thread :(

Thats exactly what I was thinking driving to work this morning. I think I have only seen maybe three approvals so far this month. One was electronically submitted and couple more from December. I really am praying they pick up this week. They had a snow day last week and yesterday ( which I understand safety first as they have families too ).

They updated their website to " 8 weeks " but, I know there are many of you that have been waiting past that time frame. Hopefully you will hear something today.

Wishing all the love birds a very Happy Valentines Day

@Duncan21 Thanks for your feed back. I suppose now I just keep calling and checking on the status more often.

@mmadd636 You can download their form from their website, fill it out, scan and email it. I did this when I had my senator help me during my 7 months at USCIS.

I am on my 12th week, it'll be complete on Friday.  They have no idea what is supposed to happen at 12 weeks whenever I ask them, they always act as if that is unheard of.  They haven't worked for 2 days because of the snow.
