My EAD got approved today! I'm assuming it's the combo card, so AP is as well. I'm at day 100 since my case was received. I raised a service request on day 89 but nothing came of it. I called again today and asked how long I should wait and he said 30 days since raising a service request. And then a few hours later I got the email!!! I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but still so exciting.

I also didn't have any RFEs.

Good luck everyone. I truly believe that many of you will receive news in the next two weeks!

EAD/AP: 02/14/17 - 05/26/17 (101 days)

AOS: 02/14/17 - 06/20/17 (126 days)

ROC: 05/19/19 - 04/23/20 (340 days)

N-400: (249 days)

9/13/2020- Application filed online

9/21/2020 - NOA1 received

12/10/2020 - NOA2 biometrics reuse

2/2/2021 - NOA3 N-400 interview scheduled for 3/16/2021

I Just wanted to pipe up that this isn't necessarily true! We all know how USCIS gives different answers to people all the time. Don't lose hope!

I have a friend who is an immigration lawyer, he told me a while ago that receiving an RFIE (for my marriage certificate they already had -_-) on the AOS application wouldn't affect my EAD processing.

I just got EAD notification today of card production at day 102 from initial application.

Package sent: Feb 13th
Received: Feb 16th
NOA1 date: Feb 22nd
Biometrics: March 22nd
RFIE on AOS: March 31st
RFIE response received: April 25th
EAD service request: May 19th (Note: this request is still showing as having not been assigned for processing)
EAD "Card Production": May 26th

I'm so happy I started crying when I got the email notification. Not working has been so stressful; not only financially but I've been feeling almost depressed with nothing to do. I'm a nurse - it's in my blood to need to help people!

Good luck to everyone still waiting. I totally understand how helpless you feel.

So USCIS sent email notification??

i am on my 102 day here. Nothing so far....

Well, it has been about 114 days since USCIS had received my papers and cashed my checks. I'm exhausted from working 3 double shifts a week plus 2-3 regular shifts and barely making ends meet. My wife is absolutely bored out of her mind. I'm hoping that her expedite for her AP gets approved and when she comes back, has a EAD card waiting for her.

Yes, they did, but I'm signed up on their website to get email and text notifications. I didn't get a text, but the email did come through. As soon as the email came through my status change was viewable on the website.

Oh my :( that sounds horrifically stressful. I was lucky that I came with a substantial savings from my private Canadian pension being paid out to me when I quit my jobs back home to come here. Sorry to hear about your situation and best wishes from me that you'll hear something soon.

Did you get any RFEs? Have you raised a service request? If yes, and 30 days have passed I would call them again or I would get your congressman involved as that's way beyond the normal processing time.

Really hope you guys receive some good news soon.

Hey guys i have a question, i filed for aos on feb 21, sometime in march i got a rfe, i mailed it in and my case was changed to ready for an interview on april 17. I also sent in the ead with my aos, i have still not heard back from that . I called the uscis and they said since i got a rfe my ead starts from the beginning and wouldnt submit a service request.

Is this true? Am i going to have to wait 3 more months! Cause im seeing a lot of people that had rfe get their ead cards already

I don't know … I'm in the same boat. Uscis got my papers but, sent me an RFE as well saying that I need to send a marriage certificate ( I sent them one in my packet).

Many people here are saying that it doesn't effect anything. Many people here say it does …

I have spoken to 5 Coustomer service agents at USCIS who have all told me that a case with an RFE gets put on hold until until that RFE is satisfied. In my case, that adds on an extra 5 weeks.

When I did a service request, that was also the message that I received.

I'm on day 98 so hopefully next week will be the week for me. I have put an SR in on Day 75 and apparently that came back as saying "your case is out for review, a decision will be made soon". I never received that message but I called up and one of the uscis officers read the email sent to me. I also have my congressmans liaison officer chasing for me. I have a job offer for June 20th so getting very stressed now.

You have given me hope as I'm only a couple days behind you. I've my fingers crossed for everybody else still waiting. This process has tested all my emotions no end!

I too had an RFE and after calling USCIS, they told me everything got reset to the date when they receive the requested evidence (Which was May 1st). Still, and I don't know how, my wife's EAD/AP card showed up in the mail this last Saturday.  So don't lose hope.

Thanks.

This really gives me hope
